Oscar is a shining figure for her countrymen, but is often torn between service and duty. This struggle with duality within herself and in her world is the center about which the story turns. There, they are considered outcasts. The title of this series comes from the letters Nanako writes to her "brother", who is actually her old cram teacher, about her experiences. This intense series features romance, a complex plot, and issues such as school girl lesbianism, drug use, suicides and the things thatgirls endure to belong to a group.
