In modern Japan, Tokyo is expanding and considerably reducing animals' habitats, including those of the tanuki (raccoon-like creatures). To secure their survival, the two combating tanuki clans join forces against mankind in a war they dub 'Pom Poko'! Humans are a difficult adversary, though... can the tanuki open mankind's eyes to the beauty of nature, before their homes are replaced by yet another suburb?

In a futuristic world, the virtual world is merely a layer on top of reality; within it, cyberpets are abundant and information is plentiful, and it is only visible by wearing special cyberglasses. In Daikoku City, this cyberspace is behaving strangely: cyberpets are going missing, dark entities known as “the Illegal” roam obsolete space that shouldn’t exist, and a large pink antivirus program known as Satchii wanders the streets, attacking both virus and pets alike. Sixth grader Yuko Okonogi has just moved to Daikoku City, and after cyberdetective children help her rescue her lost dog, she soon joins the others in a search for the truth behind these strange occurances.

Shizuru and Mizuki are two quiet sisters who have a foot in the world of the supernatural. While Shizuru can see the spirits and monsters who haunt mankind, Mizuki can't help but become possessed by them. Together, the duo live with their grandparents and are taught about the spiritual world from their grandfather, a powerful exorcist. In the serene countryside, the girls will learn about the ghosts and goblins that co-exist in our world, while also learning about themselves and their abilities.

In the future, aliens coexist freely with mankind on Earth. One such alien is NieA, a lazy yet spirited girl who wastes away her days while living with the studious Mayuko. And life isn't easy... Mayuko is always short on food money, the spa where she works is about to go bankrupt and Mayuko's alien-crazy friend Chiaki is obsessed with NieA. A light, mostly comedic slice-of-life show.

When a young Ashitaka, hero of his village, is imparted with one of these curses after slaying a crazed god, he forces himself into exile to prevent further harm to his village. As he ventures out into the world, however, he discovers just how dire the straights have become - with man and beast ready to break into all out war, his curse becomes the least of his problems. As both sides teeter dangerously on the side of outright slaughter of one another, Ashitaka sets his own problems aside and, using his charisma and honor, seeks to quell the hatred before it gets beyond repair - but will he be in time or is he simply delaying the inevitable?

Saga is an ordinary girl who lives her life by planning everything ahead of time. Unfortunately, having a waffle-loving Snow fairy called Sugar follow her home was not a part of these plans! Together with apprentice fairies Salt and Pepper, Sugar must find the 'twinkles' that will make their magical flowers blossom, thus turning them into fully fledged season fairies. The trouble is, none of them actually knows what a 'twinkle' is! And so, with help from Saga and other friends, the trio begin their search, whilst having fun and perfecting their magic along the way.

Neko no Ongaeshi is a somewhat related sequel to the Ghibli Tale "Whisper of the Heart". The story follows a young girl named Haru, who unknowingly rescues the prince of the world of cats, and gains their unwanted gratitude. With the help of the Baron, and Muta (the fat white cat from WotH), Haru must find a way to escape from the world of cats before it's too late!

On a day like any other, average middle-school-student Yurie Hitotsubashi got the surprise of a lifetime – she became a goddess! Yuichi is a teenage boy who was diagnosed with hepatitis; and as staying at the hospital is boring, he often sneaks out at night to hang out with his friends. However, each time he is caught by the slightly sadistic nurse Akiko, he just prolongs his stay at the hospital. After his most recent escape, instead of striking a punch or kick at Yuichi, Akiko says that she'll overlook his sneak outs if he becomes friends with 17-year-old Rika, another hospital resident. Rika doesn't open up to him at first, but she has her reasons: she has a weak heart; and though she may come off as selfish and rude, Yuichi looks beyond the surface to help both of them enjoy what life has to offer.

"One stormy night." These are the words Mei will say outside of the barn to identify his new friend. "One stormy night." Gabu will say this phrase to finally meet the friend he made in the darkness of the storm. Mei and Gabu had taken shelter in the barn, and in the darkness they comforted each other, only to find that they were very similar, striking a friendship there and then. "One stormy night", and they would finally meet face to face at their promised place and time, but on this fateful night Mei, an orphan goat, and Gabu, a wolf, finally see each other. Will their friendship work? Will their communities allow it?
