Sho Yamato spends a lot of his time mountain biking with his friends. One day, during a race with some rivals, thick black smoke appears and whisks them all away to a strange place known as the X-zone! Sho and his friends soon discover that mountain bike racing is a much more serious event in this realm – it takes the form of a no-holds-barred race known as an Idaten Battle. In an Idaten Battle, participants must race through various obstacle courses, fighting not only to win but also to simply survive the challenges that lie ahead! The goal of these races is to win emblems from the loser; for the only way to escape the X-zone is to collect enough emblems...
