Tatsuhiro Sato is a university dropout and a "hikikomori" – a person suffering from social withdrawal. To Sato’s dismay, his self-imposed exile from the world is rudely interrupted when a mysterious girl knocks on his door. She has charged herself with the task of curing Sato of his hikikimori ways! Now, as new problems ranging from hentai games to internet suicide spring up, can Sato manage to overcome his hermit-like ways, or will the imaginary N.H.K conspiracy force him to remain a hikikomori forever?

In present day Japan, the life of a school girl is never dull. The easily-bored Konata never finds time to study because of her otaku habits, which frustrates hard-working Kagami no end. On the other hand, laid-back Tsukasa always manages to go with the flow, while Miyuki is concerned with keeping her status as resident know-it-all. Join these four girls as they muse and meander their way through everyday events such as eating chocolate cones, doing homework, gaming, and trips to the beach galore.

As a "mockumentary" of an Otaku's life, this anime is a hilarious take on the sometimes weird and abnormal life of an extreme Otaku. Based loosely on the origins of Gainax, the anime intermixes nicely drawn animation with truly strange interviews with "real fans" that segues into a very bizarre SF adventure. Follow a band of Otaku as they blunder their way through hilarious situations on their way to "Otakunizing" humanity itself!

This show is centered around Doujinshi (Fan Manga). Kazuki is a senior in high school, who doesn't really know what to do with his future. His friend Taishi drags him into the world of Doujinshi, where he tries to make and sell his Doujinshi to the masses and learn what it really means to be a real Doujinshi artist.

Ten-year-old genius Chiyo, animal-loving Sakaki, loudmouth Tomo, athletic Kagura, weight-conscious Yumi and dim-witted Osaka are six friends who share laughs, good times, and a high school homeroom. In a futuristic world, the virtual world is merely a layer on top of reality; within it, cyberpets are abundant and information is plentiful, and it is only visible by wearing special cyberglasses. In Daikoku City, this cyberspace is behaving strangely: cyberpets are going missing, dark entities known as “the Illegal” roam obsolete space that shouldn’t exist, and a large pink antivirus program known as Satchii wanders the streets, attacking both virus and pets alike. Sixth grader Yuko Okonogi has just moved to Daikoku City, and after cyberdetective children help her rescue her lost dog, she soon joins the others in a search for the truth behind these strange occurances.

Najimi Osana's goal is to make a fortune in life, but in reality, she hasn't been having much success in her job. Tsuyuri, a doujin artist and a friend of Najimi, takes her to a convention to help her sell her doujin; and after learning that her childhood friend Justice is a very successful doujin artist, Najimi declares that she will make her fortune by creating doujins of her own. However, Najimi has never created anything close to a doujin before, and will struggle through many difficulties. Together with Tsuyuri, Justice, and Sora, they will work together for Najimi’s sake to gain fame and fortune in the doujin market.

Ichihara Momoko comes to Tokyo with plans to get accepted to Lambda Eight’s training school, become a famous voice actress, and meet and marry Ichinose Minato, her favorite voice actor. A solid plan, but will things really go so smoothly? There’s no question she’s got the lungs for it – unleashing her full volume can cause minor earthquakes - but does Momoko have the talent (and luck) to debut in the world of voice acting? Along with her new friends Yurika, Rinka, Tsubasa, and Amane, Momoko will put everything she’s got into passing kanji pronunciation tests, speeding through complicated tongue twisters, and making her way to her debut.

All the while, the current student council president is busy defending her life against assassination attempts! There’s never a dull day at Rikkyouin High School!

The anime and cosplay-loving Sakura Nankyoku – known by her peers as Penguin at her old school – has just moved to a new location. After suddenly becoming student council president, she finds herself in the middle of many bizarre and ecchi situations.
