Both of these fantasy anime provide a rich atmosphere with a loveable cast of characters whom you will find hard to forget. Zero can be a bit more on the romance side but I assure you that if you like comedy, drama, or romance both will quench your thirst.

Both Card Captor Sakura and Zero no Tsukaima have magic heavily involved with multiple, good characters. Both Louise and Sakura manage to mess things up on occasion, but are fairly determined to get it done well. The male leads are also both supportive and strong. They also both contain light hearted humour, and are great watches. If you liked one, you may just like the other.

Zero no Tsukaima and Mamoru-kun have magical academies as well as romance as the focus. Also in both series Saito and Mamoru have great powers that are hidden and slowly being discovered. Mamoru and Ayako are more open about their relationship then Saito and Louise, and Ayako has a lot more control over her powers then Louise. But other then that both of these series are very similar and you are bound to like the other, if you liked the first.

Both series are mainly about budding love, yet both have a mythical, otherworldly quality. Shuffle! has women who are from the Demon world and Angel world vying for a mans attention, whereas Zero No Tsukaima has a man coming from earth as we know it to a whole different planet, where love begins to blossom between him and the women of that world. If you like romance with a little otherworldly twist, then you will surely enjoy one as you did the other.

DearS and ZnT are laugh-out-loud hysterical. Both center around a love story, but the hijinks the characters get into along the way (including aliens and magic) make for a fantastic journey.
