Zero no Tsukaima: Princesses no Rondo

Synopsis:

Following the war against Albion, Saito has returned to the Tristain Academy and is becoming increasingly closer to Louise. However, their newfound tranquillity is shattered when one day, the runes on the back of Saito’s hand disappear. Saito is now free from being Louise’s familiar, but not from her ‘explosive’ temper. Nevertheless, Saito refuses to leave Louise’s side and pledges to help her find a way to renew their contract and regain his powers. Soon, while on a mission to find the elf that revived Saito during the final battle against Albion, the duo encounters the mysterious Sheffield: a familiar of another void magic user. Why is Sheffield pursuing the pair and what plans does her master have for them?

Both have a focus on a developing relationship between two people who are stuck together through circumstances beyond their control and who are trying to understand how to get along with each other, and if they even want to get along in the first place. In both shows, the female protagonist is violent, exceedingly jealous, and constantly pushing away the male protagonist despite the fact that deep down, they know they want to be with him. Both male protagonists have a series of women who fall in love with them and chase them down at all costs, often resulting in awkward situations and anger and jealosy from the female protagonist. In addition, both male protagonists develop a strong desire to protect the female protagonist, despite the fact that the female protagonist could probably take care of herself. And althought Zero no Tsukaima takes place in a magical world, while Ranma 1/2 takes place in modern Japan, both have strong elements of magic and fighting that are essential to the plot. The humor, romance, magic, harem, and fighting elements make these shows a natural pairing. If you liked one, you will probably like the other.

Action-packed, funny shojo story that both contain the same type of excitement. The magic etc. makes these two anime's perfect matches for users, and both anime's are highly recommended.

The use of magic, swords, and beating up on their boo. Both of these shows consist of similar characters, an even have the same person playing the voice over of the main characters. If you liked this anime, you will surely like/love this one as well.
