School can be a boring place, but not for the members of the GJ Club! The kind Kyoya, meat-loving Kirara, calm Megumi, game prodigy Shion and pint-sized firecracker Mao always manage to have a good time while navigating day-to-day life, whether they’re preparing for the cultural festival, playing doctor, fixing TV signals by becoming human antennae, or simply getting to know each other better!

Both series follow a School life type genre based around each series individual clubs. They both pretty much just follow random events which take them no where. Whilst Yuyushiki is a little more literal in the "random" aspect and GJ does have a small side of school to it they are actually quite a like and i think the comedy isn't all too different either. If you enjoyed one of these it's fairly likely the other will appeal to you.

Kin-iro Mosaic

Kin-iro Mosaic

Shinobu Oomiya is a 15-year old Japanese school girl who did a homestay in the UK when she was in junior high. One day, as she is missing her time abroad, a letter arrives for her from the daughter of her UK host family, Alice Cartelet, announcing that she is coming to Japan! With Shinobu’s classmates Aya Komachi and Yoko Inokuma, as well as Alice’s childhood friend and rival from the UK, Karen Kujo, the lives of the five girls sparkle like a mosaic, and an airy and sweet school comedy starring Japanese and British schoolgirls is about to start!

Yuyushiki and KINMOZA are two very funny slice-of-life/comedies based on 4-koma (4-panels manga). While the former doesn't have much of a story to tell and is definitely more formalaic than the other, they're both really similar in terms of humor and the amount of yuri-subtext they contain. If you happen to be a fan of the genre, put your yuri-goggles on and you shall not be disappointed by either Yuyushiki or Kin-iro Mosaic.
