If you want a series with an equally dramatic story but with less (or almost no) ecchi, Air is a good place too look. Although a different type of romance, the stories have a similar feel to them. Each series also has great artwork and some good music.

Saishuu Shiken Kujira

Saishuu Shiken Kujira

Have you ever seen a whale fly in the sky? For Kuonji, this newly-discovered vision is a thing of wonder and fright - a sentiment not shared by his peers. Under its watchful gaze, Kuonji chats with and hangs out with his somewhat unusual friends. Whether it's with Nina and her striped panties, cat-loving Sacchan, the strange alien Allen or a variety of other busty, skimpily-dressed babes, Kuonji finds himself in the middle of ecchi situations galore!

SSK doesn't have the borderline H content that YnS has, but both are heavily ecchi and in my opinion, will appeal to the same audience - an audience that wants the boobs and butts.

Both of these romance anime are based off of visual novels. Exempt from a linear plot, instead of the main male character ending up with just one female, these anime branch out to show how things would be different had he fallen in love with another heroine. If you enjoy this, I suggest checking the other out.

The Last arc of Yosuga no Sora reminds of the themes of Angel Sanctuary. Brother and Sister fight their respective society in order to try and find a place where the two of them truly belong. Yosuga is more dramatic and ecchi, whereas Angel is more violent and confusing. Watch one if you like the other

Both offer what is ostensibly drama and romance but mostly end up focusing on sexual encounters. (There is in fact some drama to be had, mostly in relation to the sex.)
