Nakahara Sunako, a high school girl whose interests include horror movies, coffins and gore, is sent by her aunt to live in an extravagant mansion with four ridiculously handsome boys. As if living with these “radiant creatures” who give her constant nosebleeds isn’t hard enough, she soon discovers that the boys have made a bet with her aunt: in exchange for free rent, they will try to mold Sunako into a magnificent lady. As someone who has cast aside all her femininity and sworn to live in darkness, Sunako is ready to do whatever it takes to nullify these efforts; but is there a way for the creatures of darkness and light to coexist?
Ouran High is a school for the extremely wealthy or, in Haruhi's case, the extremely talented. But no amount of talent will help when Haruhi accidentally drops an eight million yen vase in a music room. The vase was the property of Ouran High School Host Club, a group of attractive young men who, for a fee, provide their time and affections for their lovesick clientele: the female students. Fascinated by this strange new specimen, a poor and clumsy commoner, they force Haruhi to work for them until the debt is repaid; but they get a lot more than they bargained for...
If you liked YNSH, you'd also like Ouran because they are both reverse harem anime.
Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge and Ouran are a bit similar in that both make the main character into something else. Both shows are very hilarious, and Nabeshin makes cameos in every single episode for all of you Excel Saga fans!
Talk about crazy school life... especially when it includes a group of good-looking young men. The situations in these anime are similar. In Yamato Nadeshiko, the guys are trying to change Sunako into the perfect lady; while in Ouran, the male group needs to hide Haruhi's true gender, although Tamaki is usually trying the exact opposite thing :P. Anyways, I do believe that once you've seen one of these two, you'll definitely enjoy the other as well. Both of them are a lot of fun, contain strong and stubborn characters and both show just how mad school years can be ;) Enjoy!
Both Yamato and Ouran have pretty boys (who are very popular at their high school) that are in charge of one lady. Together, they encounter funny problems and solve them. Both anime are funny, and you'll certainly find one high-school boy you like.
The comedy that occurs in every episode ties these two brilliant reverse harem series together. In some ways, the female protagonists are always different than all the other girls in the series, which makes them more likeable and it's more interesting to see their reactions when something happens. Comedy is the main category of these two series but there is occasionally some romance that occurs between the characters.
The main characters of YNSH and Ouran are quite alike. Neither are ladylike (Sunako is obviously worse), and they are always running from their true feelings. The best part of watching these shows is seeing the characters' evolution and slow realization of what they truly feel.
Both Host Club and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge have not-so-feminine girls surrounded by bishounen guys, and use quirky comedy to spoof many shojo cliches. The main difference is that while Host Club's Haruhi seems oblivious of her harem's charms, poor Sunako hemorrhages at the sight of the radiant creatures around her.
Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge and Ouran both have the same kind of humour and are both really fun. ^^
Even the characters look alike, but I didn't mind.
Yamato and Ouran are both reversed harem anime, in which a girl enters a men's club and the men try to change her. Along the way they all learn new things about the opposite side, try to get along, and discover feelings they don't want to acknowledge. Not to mention, both are very funny stories and the guys are gorgeous.
Ouran and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge have similar plot lines involving a girl who is suddenly thrown into the humorous world of some handsome and popular guys.
Plain heroines surrounded by beautiful men, need anyone say much more? Both Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge and Ouran have that crazy humor element, yet somehow prove the main characters have a deeper story than just constant smiles and laughter.
If you like Host Club, you'll like Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (or vice versa) because the stories are similar; they both are about a girl who is not lady-like and is surrounded by bishonen. They also both are comedies with some romance elements.
If you liked Ouran, you will like Yamato Nadeshiko, and vice-versa. Both feature a female protagonist who is quite unladylike, although Haruhi of Ouran is a bit more social than Sunako of Yamato Nadeshiko. Both series also feature dazzling boys, although Ouran has a larger variety. Clearly both are reverse harem (how can you not call it that when there are that many pretty boys around?)
If you like funny comedies, then Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge and Ouran High School Host Club are for you. The weird characters of both series also have painful pasts that are ready to be divulged as the series go by.
Both anime centre around a female character that is not necessarily the typical high school girl. You have Haruhi in Ouran who is poor and doesn't fit in with the rest of the school because of that, therefore she becomes in debt to a club and humour, love and insanity ensues. In Yamato, there is Sunako, the dark, in-secure and sort of scary outsider. Both anime are reverse-harem and these female characters are surrounded by a group of far too charming/good looking guys. Both, however, grow to overcome their fears as well as accept who they are.
Ouran High School Host Club and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge are both reverse harem, shoujo-style parodies/comedies. Both are hilarious and bishonen-filled (although they look more bishoujo at times, in Yamato), and both feature similar themes or gags throughout (for example, the hordes of screaming fangirls that follow the male leads about, or the bishonen dressing up in drag-- much to the adoration of their ogling female fans).
However, Yamato is, while still clearly comedic, a good deal darker and...shall I say, more schizophrenic and flighty than Ouran. Ouran could pass rather easily as a normal shoujo anime, parodies aside. I couldn't quite say the same for Yamato-- I would call it a cross between Ouran and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (darker than Ouran, much lighter and with more chibification than Sayonara). That said, I believe that fans of either show would do well to, at the least, try out the other. The style of humor is similar, many of the characters are fairly similar, the artistic style is fairly similar. And both are darned funny.
Both series are filled with beautiful boys and a girl who has to deal with them. Both Loaded with comedy that will make you roll on the floor laughing.
Both anime feature an unorthodox high school girl surrounded by a group of amazingly good looking high school boys that are constantly showering our heroine with friendly attention. But the main similarity is that these are both comedy/romance shows with much more emphasis on the comedy aspect and less on the romance. The lack of high school angst is refreshing!
If you like a story's about a girl thrown into a world were she is anything but comfortable then Ouran High School Host Club and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge are two animes that you would really enjoy.
In Ouran Haruhi Fujioka, mostly called Haruhi, a scholarship student to the school, because of the high costs of uniform she wears slacks, polo shirts and Jumpers combined with the fact that she wears thick glasses she is mistaken by the Host Club, after the incident that gets her involved with the Host Club, as a boy. Haruhi is indebted to the Host Club and cannot pay it of so the Host Club employ her as their lackey, Haruhi carries on pretending to be a boy until she can pay of her debt.
In Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge Sunako Nakahara, mostly called Sunako, is thrown into living with Kyohei Takano, Takenaga Oda, Yukinojo "Yuki" Toyama and Ranmaru Morii, four dazzling boys which she cannot be in the same room with without getting a nose bleed. Sunako after being called ‘Ugly' in middle school by the boy she fancied, and the first person she confessed her love too, turned into someone that turns away from all the beauty that she sees, including herself. It is Kyohei, Takenaga, Yuki and Ranmaru's job to turn Sunako into a woman, if they do this they will get there living rent free as Sunako's Aunt is the Landlady.
Ouran High School Host Club and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge are both reverse harem, both are hilarious and bishonen-filled comedies with similar themes or gags throughout. In conclusion they are different from each other and if you like one you should give the other one a go.
As soon as I watched Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, I thought of Ouran High School Host Club. Both are reverse harem, with the main characters in each lacking in "lady manners", and of course, both shows are ridiculously funny!
Ouran and YNSH have "WTF" and "ROTFLMAO" moments. The comedy is just so random and goofy, how could you not love it? If you love chibis and gorgeous boys, you'll love these series!
Both Ouran High School Host Club and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge are comedic series that focus on trying to change the central female character. Both Haruhi and Sunako are girls who are far from feminine or graceful, who are then thrown into a world filled with beautiful guys, who are acting as 'mentors' to bring out the more refined side of them, much to the girls annoyance. If you like the humour and hints of romance in one of these series, give the other a watch.
Although the two series have their differenced, Ouran Highschool Host Club and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge are both great to watch if you liked one. The boys in both series are all very handsome, driving girls crazy for them with just a wink! In addition, Haruhi and Sunako are both not your average girls. They seem to only want to do their own thing, no matter what others think they should do. However, the boys are both seemingly set on changing the girls, but there may be something more they find...
What could possibly be better for a girl than getting into some guys community. One girl, supposable stupid and obvious, few guys (more - better) as pretty as you couldn't even imagine. Here we go, this is shojo. But our todays guinea pigs are different. It's a total parody on all shojo cliches and many other things like date-sims, yaoi and so on. Better to watch first some classical stuff like Fushigi Yuugi, success guarantied.
Both Ouran and YNSH starts with typical and than crush all your hopes to predict movements. Prepare yourself for unstoppable laugh. Ouran is more delicate, YNSH hitting a raw nerve without hesitation. If you're shojo addict or smth like this try to bust stereotypes and than you'll definitely find those series amazing.
TWO OF THE BEST SHOJO ANIME'S I'VE EVER SEEN!!!
Both of these anime are centered around your highschool heroin. Who, in their own opinion, are punished by God. One by breaking a vase and the other for having low self-esteem. Comedy ensues as you follow these girls around in their bizaare worlds.
Not an ordinary girl surounded by a bunch of dazzling boys, this phrase could go as description to both: Ouran High School Host Club and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge. Both main girls in these animes have complex on their looks and both of them in their own charms imprese and attract those boys they hang out with. At first they only see the girls as a buddy, a friend, but later deeper feeling starts developing.
Both of the main girls of these anime's have a lot in common. Neither of them is your average girl, and they're both surrounded by attractive males.
Distinctly out of place amongst a group of handsome boys, the protagonists of both animes are unexpectedly thrust into their world of glamour and excitement. Whether it be their appearance or social standing that seperates these girls from the adored men around them, they are nonetheless forced to associate with them. Gradually, changes come about in each character with great humour and unlikely circumstances.
Ouran high School Host Club and Yamato Nadeshiko Shinchi Henge both involve a group of very good looking guys trying to turn a girl that doesn't quite fit in with the society around her into the perfect woman. The girls characters are both independently strong in their own right which takes a hilarious turn in the series when they try and stand up for themselves.
This is kind of an obvious recommendation, but I'll do it anyway.
Both are reverse-harem shoujo anime, but there is a lot more emphasis on the comedy than romance. I found YNSH to be quite a bit funnier, but the characters in Ouran were better-developed. Both feature a cast of gorgeous/totally wacky boys (the personas of the boys from each of these shows could fairly easily be matched up to another from the other (if that makes any sense to anyone but me)) and an "odd" girl (or, at least, different for your average anime female lead).
Both were really charming, and managed to keep my attention for 25-ish episodes, which is quite a feat.
Both of these anime are kind of parodies... and I should say really funny parodies. In case of Ouran you started to laugh in the beginning of the first episodes and probably you laugh even now when you recall some scenes. And it will be similar in case of Yamato nadeshiko shichi henge. Group of bishies trying to make creepy Nakahara Sunako into fine lady... you just have to see that. And if you're into bishies, this anime is just must-see for you :-)
Both of these series have a very popular ongoing comic book series, are both comedies and have ridiculously similar premises. However, Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge is a parody series, and therefore pokes fun at series like Ouran High School Host Club. Also, both shows also have a really unique female lead, which is quite rare.
If you'll like one, you'll most likely like the other. They both have very similar settings, with a girl who's a bit special surrounded by good looking weirdo guys. The main reason I recommend this is because the style of humor of these shows are very much alike. I laughed like crazy to both series.
Yamato Nadeshiko is basically in my thoghts a Ouran Hostclub series minus the trap main character and adding a horror obsessed girl to the bunch. Their both funny both in the same and opposite ways. And their art styles are great.
I cannot watch one anime without remembering the other. Gorgous guys (whose stories are deeper than they appear), and one girl stuck in the middle of their lives... random comedy and random episodes ... with romance appearing here and there.... waiting every episode for the characters to realize their feelings ... and laughing your bottom off everytime a parody of your favorite anime pops up - how could you love one series and not the other :).
Both are reverse harem, and although Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge is darker than Ouran High School Host Club, the story lines tend to be similar.
both Ouran High School Host Club and Wallflower have the same type of heavy comedy aspect that will keep you laughing hard until the end, both animes feature female protagonists surrounded by handsome male protagonists and both feature the same main aspect, girls which enter in a "men's club" and the men that try to change them.I think that if you liked one of them then definitely you will enjoy the other one as well.
These animes both have less-than-feminine lead characters that leave these girl-enchanting boys clueless. Though the story lines are similar in many ways, it won't feel like you're watching the anime over.
Both of these series will leave you saying WTF? After each episode. They are both comedic and have a female heroine that is not... normal. Ouran and Wallflower are both reverse harem.
if you liked the wallflower you should also like OHSHC and the other way around!
they're both reversed harems and they both have good looking guys in it! sunako nakahara is a very special girl since she likes sceletons and stuff like that and she is manly.. while haruhi fujioka looks like a guy but inside she is a girl, if u know what i mean.
they both make u laugh and they make u want to read the manga, since the anime's incomplete!
Both of these animes are epic they are extremely funny and amazing to watch. They are both are about girls that have to co-exist very closely with the most popular boys of their school which makes life impossible for the tomboys they are. They meet challenges that can be completely insane and that would never happen in real life.
They are a great thing to watch for a pick me up or if you just want to relax and have a good giggle. 5/5
If you enjoy reverse harem types of anime, then both Ouran high school host club and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge are definitely the anime to watch. Both have not so normal female leads surrounded by bishounens in order to “change” them (Ouran making Haruhi into a male host in order to pay her debts, and YNSH trying to turn Sunako into a fine lady to save their rent). The characters growth towards each other is interesting as well. However, YNSH has a much darker theme than Ouran. Most importantly, they are both extremely funny and are quite similar in some ways. Highly recommend!
These two animes are very similar, In many sences but there are so many differances too...
The genre is the same, and the harem aspect is the same, I whould deffinatly reccomend these animes to anyone who likes this kinda of genre.
(Sorry its so short im not so good at these! xD thanks for reading)
A girl who doesn't quite fit in? Surrounded by bishounen chracters attempting to change her? With a flamboyant guardian as her main caretaker? Is the comedy of the over-the-top antics variety? Does Vic Migogna play a character in the English dubbed version? Then, you have both Ouran and Wallflower.
There both very funny and have girl leads who are forced into being surrounded by cool, smart, hot, popular guys. If you liked one of them i'mpositive you'll like the other.
totally over exagerated emotions which can make you cringe or cramp up from laughing. far from ordinary heroine surrounded by very pretty femenine guys. both feel good addictive series
Pretty boy reverse harems, the comedy in Wallflower's a bit different in a more immature and somewhat sexualized sort of way, but I really enjoyed both of them :)
If you liked to watch Ouran HS host Club, then you will also love to watch this anime series yamato nadeshiko, both of them are Reverse harem with comedy and romance
they are both shoujo and are mstly put out for females and have many humerous scenes, the main factor isn't romance however for either no matter how much you just want them to fall in love <3 Hope I helped!
Sawako Kuronuma is just like any other high school girl who wants to make friends and be useful. The only problem is she bears a worrying resemblance to Sadako from 'The Ring!' Because of her reputation, people are not only terrified of her, but small dogs even bark in fear at her presence; in fact, the only person in school who will talk to her is the lively class hottie, Kazehaya. As the pair spends more time together, Kazehaya slowly begins to bring Sawako out of her shell and soon their feelings for each other develop further. Though with her crippling insecurities, lack of social skills, and a series of cruel rumors and misunderstandings, it seems that Sawako's dream of a normal life won’t be quite so easy to obtain.
Both Sawako from Kimi ni Todoke and Sunako from Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge are female protagonists who give off an extremely creepy vibe. While this is well-founded in the horror-loving Sunako and completely wrong for Sawako, this ongoing creepy theme is prevalent in both series. Also, while they are handled differently, both are ezzentially about male protagonists attempting to transform a socially awkward girl. If you enjoyed one, it's well worth watching the other.
Both of those shows focus on a gloomy, "sadako-like" girl without much self-confidence. Due to influence of a certain boy (or a group of boys in Yamanade) she gradually changes her ways, becomes more open and learns how to loose the "ghost" aura in order to show her beauty. The main difference is that Yamanade main focus is comedy, and Kimitode main focus is heartwarming. Still, both are entertaining shoujo stories with "if-you-make-effort-you-can-change-and-make-friends" theme.
Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge and Kimi ni Todoke have very scary girls as the main heroines, or at least everyone believes them to be scary. The male protagonists in the story are attempting to change the socially awkward girls into something'normal' for the society around them. Neither one of the heroines have very much self-confidence in themselves which makes it hard for them to make friends. The journey to change is what is exciting about each of the series.
Both girls are mistaken for the girl from the ring. These two creepy protagonists go through very similiar battles to become 'normal'. Kimi ni Todoke is a little more dramatic/romantic though.
Both animes Kimi ni Todoke and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge are very similar because they were both girl who are very scary at the beginning and was thought to be the Sadako girl from the ring and they weren't really good at communicating to others. But then a boy shows up trying to change them and it turns in to a romance anime
Sawako and Sunako- both girls with a creepy vibe likened to Sadako from the Japanese horror film The Ring. Due to said creepiness they are often misunderstood and avoided by their peers. But their true personalities come out when certain someones take it upon themselves to understand them. These two shows have lots of similar circumstances, but where Kimi ni Todoke focuses the situation in a more realistic light- YNSH takes a slightly more zany and comedic approach.
It's also about an out-casted girl. She was scarred by her old love, so she lost hope. She starts to isolate herself with "dazzling creatures." Those dazzling creatures are her house-mate, but they have to help her become a proper lady for a lower rent.
Both series are about a girl who scares others as "ugly" they are. Suffer much from being antisocial and not able to speak with others. The series will tell their adventures and gradual transformation.
Yamato and Kimi both have the shy and "creepy" main girls there is more romance in kimi but more comedy in yamato... both awesome :D
Both protaganists are not your traditional heroine. Every guy in the show doesnt like them, and they don't turn everything to gold that they touch. Both funny!
both of them have beautiful plots AND beautiful bishounen protagonists and the love stories between sunakoXkyouhei and sawakoXshouta will keep you watching both of the series!
Sunako and Sawako are the same. And both anime are worth watching.
Both Sawako and Sunako are actually quite similar and have people trying to open them up! <3
Kyoko moves to the big city with the prince of her dreams Shotaro; he wants to make it big in the entertainment business, so she works hard at many different jobs to support him as he achieves his dream. However, one day, Kyoko accidentally discovers the horrible truth: the love of her life thinks of her as a 'plain and boring woman!' Outraged, Kyoko swears revenge – she will make it even bigger than Shotaro in the entertainment world. The only question is, how will she fulfill her desire?
enjoy watching anime with heroines that kick ass? then Skip Beat! is for you! like YNSH, this series has a lot of comedy and will definitely keep you on your toes for the next release!
Both of these comedies revolve around a heroine with interesting personality quirks and the beautiful, but flawed, men in their lives. The type of humour is similar, often veering to black comedy, and the use of similar character tropes and use of chibi in certain scenes make these a good pair.
Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge's set-ups are often surreal, where Skip Beat! is a little more grounded (albeit in the entertainment world), and I'd argue that the social messages in Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge are dodgy (but the humour pretty much makes up for it), but for some nice shojo comedy both live up to expectations.
Skip Beat's Kyoko and YNSH's Sunako are two girls on a quest to change themselves that have an uncanny ability to terrify those around them, kick-ass cooking skills, and a bunch of hot guys as co-stars.
Both series are hilarious (and contain almost identical types of humor), but can still manage to be sweet and heartwarming (especially Skip Beat).
Are you looking for animes that have alot of comedy? then Wallflower and Skip Beat are the right choices, both animes feature lead female protagonists in quest to change themselves, both animes have a great comedy aspect that will keep you laughing until the end and both feature bishounen characters. So if you like one of them then for sure you will enjoy the other one as well.
Both animes have talented, spunky, but slightly kooky main female characters. They are definitely comedies but manage to slip in some good character development/drama. Both characters also have a darker twist...Kyoko has her lust for vengence and Nakahara has a love of the grotesque. They both also have very solid supporting characters and it is easy to fall in love with the varied cast.
Adored the shoujo kind-of humor Wallflower had? Liked the character development of the female lead? LOVED THE BISHIES? Then definitely check out Skip Beat! It has the same kind of succesful comedy, a fantastic female lead and --and I'm not kidding here-- very little repetativeness, something I found annoying in Wallflower.
Both of these animes are about a quirky girl and her adventures to regain a somewhat foot on normality. If you like the randomness of the Jokes, or the minor but all important love story, then these are for you. The animation isn't always about the real world, but the world as the characters see it, so spirits and words and characters pop up on the screen to express everything so much more awesomely. Funny and upbeat XP
Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi is fresher in my mind than Skip Beat, but I do remember a few things that I liked about both of them:
Skip Beat! and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge have similar artwork and humor.
Both anime have moments of comedy, sweet romance, and (less importantly) handsome male leads with great characters.
In both shows you will the main female character has extreme emotion issues due to abuse from some guy. In both cases this cause a tranformation, as well as making her a bit frightening to the public. In Skip Beat! she becomes more beautiful, whereas in Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge she becomes dark. Also in both shows you will find; attractive male characters who everyone wants, and an "over the top" mentor who everyone has to deal with because that is who pays the bills.
Both animes have extremely quirky female leads that have dark tendencies and a skewed view of romance due to awful experiences with men.
Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge is more of a high-school drama and Skip Beat! is all about acting. Whichever floats your boat, the animes are done in a very similar style.
both girls in these shows are scarred because of the guys they liked and change their personalities because of it. plus the girl in skip has a strange obsession with voodoo dolls and the girl in the wallflower loves anatomical dummies and skeletons.
i don't think it have similarity that much but both have same vibe of comedy and lead have a reverse harem both have boys complex though here in wallflower it is replaced by hiroshi kun
Both Sunako and Kyoko have men putting them, but Sunako hides away depressed but Kyoko is set for revenge! <3
Tohru Honda is a compassionate girl who is down on her luck. Her mother having recently died, she has been forced to camp out in the woods for shelter. However, things start to turn around once she is invited to live with class hunk Yuki Sohma and his family... but all is not as it seems! Yuki's family is burdened with a dark curse which causes them to turn into the animals of the Chinese zodiac once hugged by a member of the opposite sex... and Honda may be the only one who can help them.
If you liked YNSH, you'd like Fruits Basket because they are both a reverse harem anime.
Just as Fruits Basket is filled with developed characters that are incredibly likeable, so is Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge. The story is funny yet touching at the same time, and it makes you feel for the heroine as much as it makes you feel for Tohru in Fruits Basket. This series is all around great; it will make you laugh and make you cry without going over the top.
Yamato Nadeshiko Schichi Henge reminds me of Fruits Basket because of the animation and overall feeling. Both involve an average girl who is surrounded by a group of amazing (and bizarre) boys, and have comedy/romance elements. I had been searching for something to fill the Fruits Basket void and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge totally pulled through. I'm sure it would work vice-versa as well!
Both Fruits Basket and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge deal with teens in some kind of delicate situation or extraordinary position, who deal with it in a hilarious way. At the same time, they have angst-filled stories who get revealed and make the characters more than funny persons doing funny stuff.
Both are very funny with a sense that will make you want to watch more. Also the both have very beautiful people and a orinary girl who must help them.
If you liked Yamato/Fruits Basket you will like this because both animes have funny yet deep characters that have been developed really well.both animes have a light and funny tone to it, but have an interesting story and background in it.
If you enjoyed Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, you'll also like Fruits Basket. The humor in both these series is very much the same, not to mention the characters don't always look...normal. Both series also have dramatic, sometimes touching tones to them.
If you like YNSH then you'll love Fruits Basket. Because they're both cute and funny. But they're also have the weirdest drama.><
fruits basket and the wallflower are plotwise not really similar but they're both funny and again it's a reversed harem..
kyouhei from the wallflower is similar to kyo from fruits basket!! and they also have similar names!! ;) they both want their own ways and are hot headed and they cannot really show any emotions but when it comes to someone hurting the girl they like they lose it!
watch both it's really worth your time!
Bishounen with interesting pasts? Check. Mentions of the occult? Check. Plot that gets lost in some of the antics? Check.
While the female leads are definitely different, they both end up doing the housework for their respective bishounens. While school antics play some part of these animes, they tend to be more focused on developing the characters.
Tsukimi is an otaku and jellyfish enthusiast whose only means of coping with the world is to reject it: she and her friends live in a house they declare a man-free zone, generally avoid 'stylish people', and spend their days blissfully bonding over geeky rituals. As misfortune would have it, their convenient existence is about to be turned on its head by the arrival of Kuranosuke, a seemingly beautiful young woman who is actually a beautiful young man. While he may be strange even by their standards, Kuranosuke embodies everything Tsukimi secretly dreams of being - a princess as ethereal as a floating jellyfish - and promises the kind of mind-boggling adventures only possible when geek meets chic!
Even if these two series are mainly targeting an older female crowd (hence the josei tag), anyone who's into hilarious comedies à-la sitcoms will enjoy Kuragehime or Wallflower. Both series portray the daily lives and mishaps of a young girl who's viscerally afraid of men, and her interaction with the rest of a flamboyant cast. If you liked either one of them, the other series will definitely appeal to you so give it a shot!
Both animes have somewhat similar animation and a girl who is secretly beautiful but perhaps needs a little push to get into the outside world.
If you liked Kuragehime, you will also enjoy Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge and viceversa.
Both are focused on a girl who has her hobbies taken on a extreme way and who is almost hikkikomori; just to be surprised by a fashion and social being to shake her whole world.
Taking a girl without any desire to be glamorous and putting her in the direct line of fire of a "chic" person. Besides the rather humorous reactions to "chic" people, both Sunako and Tsukimi share traits, such as obsessing over things others consider not normal. The boys of Wallflower are also very similar to Kuranosuke. While Wallflower is a little bit darker at times, the feel of these animes are similar.
Kuragehime(Princess Jellyfish) and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge(The Wallflower) are similar because both heroines are afraid to face certain kinds of people. They are also both in a way afraid to look feminine,Tsukimi doesn't want her friends to be mad at her and Sunako faced people calling her ugly.
Aside from the obvious similarity of female characters with strange obsessions, Kuragehime and Wallflower have a similar sense of humor. The characters aren't sure about each other at first, but grow to like each other and work to solve problems together. If you like one, you'll probably like the other.
