Silver Fang

Silver Fang

Named for the silver stripe on his body, his fate is sealed when his father is killed by the ferocious bear Akakaboto -- to be the one who kills Akakaboto. From that moment on, he vows to grow up, to become a strong enough dog, to slay the bear who stole his father's life.

Stray dogs fighting for a pradise.... sounds familiar? Silver fang reminds me alot of Wolf's rain but it deals with dogs instead of wolves. They try to gather many fighting dogs to be able to kill a bear called Akakaboto and find their paradise. This is a really great series and be sure to check it out if you liked Wolf's rain.

Do characters have auras?  If so, the title character Naruto of (obviously) Naruto and lead character Natsu from Fairy Tail seem to have very nearly the same aura.  Not personalities, mind you, though those are similar enough, but that indescribable quality that surrounds a person.  Impossibly high energy, justice-seeking, loyal friends, somewhat stupid walking-disasters...yet somehow still loveable.  If you can't get enough of that kind of guy, you won't get enough of Fairy Tail or Naruto.

both Spice and Wolf and Wolf's Rain are centered on a main protagonists traveling in search of a land where they can live peacefully, and also both animes feature main protagonists as wolfs. If you liked one of this two shows check the other one as well.

Tears to Tiara

Tears to Tiara

Rhiannon is the fair and gentle daughter of a village chief. Unfortunately for her, she's also exactly the sort of maiden who is needed as a sacrifice to wake the Demon King Arawn from his thousand-year slumber and is soon kidnapped for this very purpose. However, when Arawn is summoned, he decides to spare Rhiannon's life, instead killing her captor and freeing her from mind control. Taken with his kindness, Rhiannon immediately decides to marry the Demon King, making him the new village chief. All of this is bad news for Rhiannon's protective but hot-headed brother Arthur, who must now pledge his knightly service to his new Lord, Arawn. Together the three of them must journey and together they must fight, encountering new friends and new foes along the way.

Both of these Animes are very similar. Both have fantasy elements in them. The stories in both of these animes involve groups going on a journey to get to where they want to go. The characters grow strong bonds as they spend more time together. If you like one, I'm sure you will like the other.

WinterSnowfall

Two post-apocalyptic worlds overseen by a technologically privileged class and mystical powers that overlap with technical know-how in order to create similar, yet unique universes - Wolf's Rain leaves off an in-depth, well thought storyline, while The Third: AHnS seems more superficial, but they definetely have a common stem (if not sharing the same roots) when it comes to motifs.

Despite their completely different stories and depth of plot (Wolf's Rain is more mysterious), Tokyo Godfathers and Wolf's Rain give you the same feelings of sadness, hope and friendship. Since they prioritize those feelings so much and build the entire anime around them, the same atmosphere is presented to the viewers in both.
