Those two shows share a lot of elements, from (bloodthirsty) dolls to demons or witches burnt to ashes in a blink of an eye and a very dark story. If you liked one check the other one too.

These two anime, though very different in style, have a similar idea and plotline. They arent exactly alike, and the approaches are completely different, however one thing they have in common is that they are both trying to rid the world of evil (witches/akuma) by utilizing an organization sworn against said evil.

The elements in both WHR and Elfen Lied are pretty similar, though WHR is slower and has way less gore than Elfen Lied. It's worth it to give 'em both a shot...

Welcome to the darkness; you're free to explore it with the main character of WHR and Gankutsuou and uncover the truth behind the events that happen. I'll guarantee that it'll be fun to discover the truth behind these anime as each episode passes by. Mysterious is the keyword here!

WHR and GB are not similar in terms of storyline. I recommend them both because of the characters they contain. If you fancy shows with characters that have super human abilities then check out WHR and GB.
