Kamui has returned to Tokyo with a traumatizing past, but he is not the only one. Many people are returning to Tokyo for the same reason: they play a part in the End of the World. The Dragons of Earth and the Dragons of Heaven now must fight for the destruction or safety of the world. But is this troubled Kamui really the key to saving the world?

Another one of my favourite animes with a great cast of characters and immersive plot. The twists and turns are, in some places, original. I fell in love with the art and soundtrack for this series, a must for anyone looking for something different.

Both X TV and Witch Hunter Robin are dark and gloomy with a deep and mysterious story. They both put a lot of time into developing their characters and have some nice plot twists included. On top of that even the animation is very alike!

Both series transport some sort of depressing, melancholic mood and have fragile but mysterious female protagonists and occult themes.

There are a few similarites between Witch Hunter Robin and Ayashi no Ceres. The stnj of WHR is very similar to the Mikage gamily of AnC. Both are looking to "better" humanity through people who have more evolved genes. Aya and Robin both are strong female leads who have strong unusual powers. The tension between Robin and Amon is reminisent of Aya and Toya's relationship. I discovered Ayashi no Ceres years after I watched Witch Hunter Robin, and while watching Ayashi I kept thinking to myself that I really wished someone would have told me about Ayahi right after I finished Robin.

Sort of a similar dark atmosphere and mix of the supernatural...... should definitely enjoy some of the similar elements.

Among anime released by Sunrise there are titles that differ from the average anime, like Wolf's Rain or Planetes. Cowboy Bebop and Witch Hunter Robin are among these too. In both there is a semi-realistic animation style, along with an interesting story and neat action. If you liked one of these two, you'll probably like the other too.
