Both anime revolve around a super powerful (in terms of magic) girl and who also happens to be a school idol. This girl, in both of those show, falls for some not so outstanding boy. However there appears that there might be something more that connects them. Long story short, both anime share a number of plot points, though not necessarily the personalities of the characters. If you liked either of those anime, the other one should be worth checking out.

Both titles share many similarities:

  • Magic
  • School Setting
  • Comedy
  • Harem
  • Both protagonists were ordinary individuals but later became acquainted with the unusual.

You should give it a try.

Both follow a male teenager who one day comes across a bunch of witches at his school and gets his life plunged into complete chaos because of it. Both are mainly comedies although Witch Craft Works is more action oriented.

Attack on Titan

Attack on Titan

Over a century ago, mankind was devoured by giant beings of unknown intelligence and origin known as Titans – creatures that eat humans alive indiscriminately and for no apparent reason. The remaining population has managed to survive the last hundred years only by building a multi-walled city capable of keeping the Titans at bay, training military recruits to patrol the perimeter and gather intelligence about their mysterious foe. Eren and Mikasa have lived a relatively peaceful life behind the city's walls, but when a massive Titan appears, smashing the outer barrier and unleashing a wave of terror, their lives are brutally changed forever...

I'm sure many people would disagree with this recommendation, but I can't help not to notice that Mikasa from Attack on Titan and Kagari from Witch Craft Works are very similar characters. Both are badass girls, who also happen to be kuuderes and the fact that they're obsessed with the male lead only makes the impression stronger. If you liked one fo those two ladies, you might like the other one too. However, aside from those gals, those shows are not very similar in any aspect.

The Familiar of Zero

The Familiar of Zero

In a world where magic is a reality, the young Louise is at the bottom of her class. Dubbed "Zero" by her classmates at Tristein Academy (due to her zero success rate for magic), Louise (along with all first year students) was charged with summoning a familiar; and instead of a cute magical creature, the familiar arrived in the form of... Saito Hiraga, a normal Japanese boy who was abruptly teleported from his own world?! Can both Louise and Saito come to terms with their new and complicated "relationship" and (more importantly) help Saito find a way home?

Bouth main male characters suddenly find themselvs in a reality they can not recognise, surounded by magicians, witches with wich they go on mind bogoling adventures, and take part in epic fights. they soon find out why they were chosen, their realities shifted, and that is because of the powers with-in them, making them special. An obligatory sense to help those around them ass well as the desire to protect their partners/comrads they care about is that what is driving them.

FireWalker FireWalker says...

Witch Craft Works and Rosario to Vampire both feature:

- richly imagined worlds where magic forcefully intrudes into a high school/slice-of-life setting

- an ordinary but good-hearted guy becoming connected to a girl with extraordinary magical powers and a sometimes-intimidating personality

- a lively plot dominated by comedy but with some elements of drama and romance, with plenty of entertaining side characters

- magical battles that tend to be more campy than scary

R to V emphasizes ecchi and harem themes. WCW has a clear edge in magical battle animation. But if you like one, give the other a try.

WitchCraft and Trinity seven both follow a regular guy protagonist who gets sucked into a world of magic. They must condend with the affections of a bevy of attractive girls whose magic usally leads to trouble. Most of the time, they have no trouble winning over the villians and, when things get rough, the guys have a dangerous hidden magical power that they can rely on. Trinity Seven has a lot more ecchi fanservice than WitchCraft and both share a fair dose of humor.
