Synopsis:

Nagamine is a young high school student who lives a fairly typical teenage life: hanging out with friends, attending class, and falling in love with a wonderful boy. But when she enlists in the galactic army, who is desperate for candidates to fight an alien war, she finds herself drifting farther away from her first love, Noboru. In the depths of space, where a simple email takes eight years to be delivered, will their love truly flourish, or simply fade away?

While the settings of these show are completely different they share very similar themes. Both anime are really about the changing nature of relationships over time. Both shows show how people can grow apart over time.

These shows do use very different methods to get to their point, but they both convey the same message which makes them a good pairing. If you liked one you should check out the other.

Bradalee

While each show differs wildly in terms of plot and setting, they each manage to tell an exquisite emotional story of characters, and how their relationships with each other change over time.

Someone who enjoys the themes of one of these shows will most certainly enjoy the other.

Koi Kaze

Koi Kaze

If life teaches us anything, it is that love sometimes happens in the most unlikely of places, with the most unlikely of people. Koshiro is a run-of-the-mill salaryman who has recently been dumped by his partner. With his heart broken and hope lost, he soon comes to realize that he can love again, once he sets eyes on a beautiful young schoolgirl riding the train. However, there is one catch -- this girl named Nanoka is his sister, who he has not seen in years. Knowing that their forbidden love will always be scrutinized by society; will Koushirou and Nanoka be able to resist the temptation?

Both anime involve a story about an "impossible" love. In Koi Kaze, their love is restrained by society; in Voices Of A Distant Star, their love is restrained by distance. They also both have a really sad mood. If you liked one, you'd surely like the other as well.

Galadriel

In both Koi Kaze and Voices of a Distant Star we an "impossible" or forbidden love aspect. In Koi Kaze the love is forbidden by society and in Voices of a Distant Star love is restrained by distance. Both animes have sad, melancholic atmosphere as well.If you like one of this two you will definitely like the other one as well.

Two movies that deal with lovers torn asunder. While the emotions brought about by Hoshi no Koe are by far the more intensely painful (in a very very good way), those from Millenium Actress are no less deeply felt. And both leave you with an oddly uplifting mixture of hope and heartbreak.
xtruder

Similar (and expanded) themes, with a different setting.  Voices' setting is futuristic sci-fi, while Millenium Actress's setting is historical.

Both the main characters in Naruto and One Piece have limitless determination when it comes to their dreams. They don't care if you try to harm them mentally or physically but they will crush you with their true strength when it comes to harming anyone that they care about. Other than that all you will see is a couple of idiots that can't take care of themselves unless someone is with them. Leaving the reader wanting to see what will happen to these two people in their numerous battle packed adventures on their way to achieving their dreams.

cassiesheepgirl

Both Naruto and One Piece have  central protagonist who is driven by the determination to fulfil their dream. Both Naruto and Luffy are headstrong and vivacious characters that you can't help but like. Mix in a good dose of humour and action and if you enjoyed one then the other is well worth checking out!

eaper

Each of these series have a rather sad feel to them and have rather ambiguous endings while having at least some focus on love.

Kinnara

The feeling of fate you can not hope to escape entwined with love and action is what brings these two otherwise rather different anime together. If tears come easily for you, be ready to shed a few.

SnowyGamer

Both Naruto and Onepiece have similar main charcters. There both underdogs trying to aim for something higher.

Anudevil13

One piece and naruto have many similarities in them.

The main char in both is Idiot type character who is kind, pasionate, Big eater and has goal he aims to achieve(Hokage for Naruto and Pirate Kinds for Luffy). In their journey they meet many new friends and enemies, have some fun, some action and some tragedy

If u liked one u would like other one aswell

Legend tells of a winged beauty who was so feared that she was confined to a palace, never to leave its gates alive. She lived a life of solitude until one day love entered her life; but as cruel fate would have it, the more the young woman loved, the closer she came to her death. For young Misuzu, researching the tragic tale of the winged one was only the beginning of her summer’s journey; a journey that would be filled with the discovery of love, the pain of loss, and the exploration of the human heart.

Both Hoshi no Koe and Air are remarkably tragic tales of the human heart. I know if you liked one, you'd like the other.
