If you liked the Upotte!! anime, the Anime-Planet community thinks you'd like:
If cute girls and "playing" with dangerous war weapons in a school setting are your thing look no further than these 2 titles!
These two titles cater to military otaku - either with tanks or guns - all involving cute girls. Upotte is the far more ecchi of the two, however.
Both shows feature plenty of cute schoolgirls and military equipment, and they are also pretty lighthearted. Upotte!! is the more creepy and objectifying of the two, and sports a substantially more plain cast than Girls Und Panzer.
Both shows are about girls in wich one show the girls use tanks (girls und panzer) and the other use guns (Upotte!!) so if you like girls with deadly weapons you should like both of these titles. Upotte!! has more comedy and a bit of ecchi while girls und panzer soley focus on girls doing cute things and thanks. If you liked on of these shows you will like the other
Both shows feature cute girls in a military setting. Girls und Panzer focusing on tank warfare, while Upotte!! focuses on gunplay. The latter is considerably more ecchi than the former.
Yura Yamato arrives for her first day at her dream school, the Stella Women’s Academy, eager to have a wondrous experience. But the teen’s fairy-tale dreams are soon dashed by a rather jarring recruitment into the C3 club - a group of girls who love nothing more than to play survival and war games on campus with Airsoft and BB guns! How will the typical Yura navigate her way through a club whose name stands for Command, Control and Communication, when all shes wants is to have a normal high school life?
The setting for both of these anime are very similar, with a high school being the main location in each. C3-Bu has a lighter feel to it, both in terms of comedy and the fact that they use airsoft guns rather than real ones. Both shows feature emphasis on team play above all else, and are quite stylish with their use of camera angles and the liberties taken with physics.
The comedic aspect is much more pronounced in C3-Bu with Upotte!! choosing to let it's ecchi do the talking instead a lot of the time. The former also seems to have a wider selection or character types, making for a greater degree of variety in the jokes.
While Upotte is far more ecchi than C3, both involve girls with guns in a cutesy school environment - C3 being the more lighthearted of the two.
Guns? Cute Girls? Then you're in the right place. Both of these shows are pretty similiar. Girls in a high school scene performing gun games, Upotte with real guns, and C3-Bu with airsoft. Upotte tends to be quite a bit more ecchi while C3-Bu has hardly any.
If you like one then I'm pretty sure you would like the other.
To summarize both shows: cute girls with guns. Both series focus on a group of school girls guns who train with the use of various guns. the major difference being that the guns in Upotte!! are real where the guns in C3-Bu are airsoft rifles.
If cute girls and "playing" with dangerous "war" weapons in a school setting are your thing look no further than these 2 titles!
In the year 1939 an unknown enemy called the Neuroi appeared. Their purpose is unclear and origin is unknown, but they attack and destroy any signs of human civilization they come across. Because conventional weapons are useless against them, humanity developed a striker unit known as the Strike Witches to combat the Neuroi. Miyafuji Yoshika is a girl with exceptional healing power but lacks control; she has been scouted to join the Strike Witches and fight the Neuroi, but all she wants to do is take over her family clinic. After witnessing an attack by the Neuroi on her way to find out if her father is still alive, Miyafuji resolves herself to fight for and protect the people around her. Who or what are the Neuroi and what do they want?
These anime are basically the same. Lots of fanservice, comedy and strange "plots". If you like cute girls that are the only ones fit for the job check either of these anime out.
Very similar, in terms of characters, all sorts of guns, and transforming. If you like Upotte!! you will definitely like Strike Witches, or vice versa.
Strike Witches is about girls from different countries who personify different airplanes. Upotte is about girls from different countries who personify different guns. Add in a healthy dose of ecchi and light violence, and you'll find that these two are right in the same vein.
Kakeru Daichi is an openly perverted sixteen-year-old boy who has never had a girlfriend. One night, after a refreshing shower, the boy decides to have a drink and opens up a can of melon soda; but his first sip turns into his first kiss as the can suddenly transforms into a cute girl! After his initial hesitance to acknowledge her existence, Kakeru - as her new owner - names the girl Melon and allows her to stay. Melon, as it turns out, is part of a government project in which aluminium and steel 'Akikans' fight each other to determine which is the superior type of can. Completely against the idea, Kakeru insists that Melon will not fight. Though with the appearance of Budoko, a grape juice Akikan; and Yell, a sports-drink Akikan; it seems that they won’t be able to avoid the battles forever.
