Synopsis:

In the kingdom of Urak, the tower of Druaga is a source of fear and death; it is the cause of disease and monster attacks, and climbing it is impossible given the ferocity of the monsters within – until now. It is the Summer of Anu, a period that occurs once every five years during which the monsters are weakened. Jil, a guardian, is one adventurer whose goal is to reach the top level and slay the tower’s creator, the demon Druaga, and finally bring peace to Uruk with the help of a powerful artifact found within. However, Jil and his friends aren’t the only ones who aim for the top; it’s a race to the finish!

Log Horizon

Log Horizon

With over 20 million players worldwide, Elder Tale is one of the hottest online RPGs. At least, it used to be only a game, until the fateful day that tens of thousands of players became stuck in the virtual world, unable to log out. For these would-be knights, healers and magicians, Elder Tale is no longer a hobby, it’s a reality, complete with tasteless in-game food, revivals upon death, and boring NPC conversations! With no other options than to accept their fates, the analytical Shiroe, perverted-and-proud Naotsugu, tiny and adorable Akatsuki and other new friends must adjust to their new lives in Elder Tale, avoiding player killers and monsters along the way!

Tower of Druaga, like Log Horizon, has a healthy mix of fantasy adventuring, comedy, and battles in an RPG-like (or flat out RPG) setting. Tower of Druaga leans a little more on the comedy side of things of the pair, but both will appeal to the same audience for sure.

Mahoujin Guru Guru

Mahoujin Guru Guru

Three hundred years ago, the power-hungry Demon King Giri was sealed away by the legendary Migu Migu tribe. In the present, the seal on Giri has melted, and two unlikely heroes must save the world once more. Twelve year old Kukuri is a bumbling mage who is the last of the Migu Migu tribe, and thirteen year old Nike is a would-be swordsman who has been raised to be a hero; together, the two will wander the land in hopes of defeating Demon King Giri - but they aren't alone! Along with an almost-naked old man, a loincloth-wearing wind spirit and plenty of wacky companions, the duo will help townsfolk, gather Guru Guru spells and have plenty of fun in the process!

Looking for another JRPG parody? Tower of Druaga or Mahoujin Guru Guru are for you. The animation style clearly isn't similar but titles like this are rare, so you'd surely enjoy the monsters, fantasy world and ample jokes that take place in both titles.

Over millions of years, there have been many ages – war, gods, and future to name a few. Each of these was infinitely less exciting than the current Animation Age! From pacifists to news casting, from fishing woes to love advice, there’s nothing the Animation Age can’t show or teach us about life in a game world! Armed with healing spells, changes of clothes and plenty of summoned familiars, the characters of Master of Epic will do what it takes to level up and live to fight another day!

Tower of Druaga and Master of Epic are both JRPG parodies, though Master of Epic is far more slapstick and random than Tower. Still, if you like this type of anime, check out one after the other.

Ragnarok: The Animation

Ragnarok: The Animation

Both series are based on RPG and have fantastic events.

Both series have their own games(btw, tower of druaga is a mmorpg and record of Lodoss war is a board game).

Fantastic creatures like dragons, elves, dwarves atc.
