Nekogami and Touhou are practically the same series but with different names. If you took some of the characters in Nekogami and replaced them with Touhou names (or vice versa), you'd get the same effect. For example, take a laid-back person like Mayu and you'll instantly see that she behaves like Reimu. These kinds of similarities happen with pretty much every character.
Both shows follow a group of friends' life and how their personalities help or hinder each other. Their lives are mainly made up of random incidents that they must resolve. Although there aren't any crazy random danmaku battles in Nekogami or gods with divine powers in Touhou, they're both full of silly antics that will remind you of the other.
