Both Nana and Toradora! have multiple characters with many facets that run deep. The relationships between the characters and the internal struggles that each goes through are beautiful and painful. Both series are a part of the very few that have made me cry. Nana takes place in a more adult world while Toradora! has more of a youthful feel, but both are easily-relatable, mature stories.

Nodame Cantabile: Finale reminded me more of Toradora than the first seasons, especially the last few episode of Toradora. At the beginning, both main male characters (Ryuji from Toradora and Chiaki from N.C.) feel like slaves to the two main female characters (Taiga from Toradora and Nodame from N.C.) but as their relationship grows both of the male characters are afraid to admit their own feelings. The "accidently in love" plot comes out in both of these animes. They also have unexpected comedy that will make you fall on the floor laughing. And thats why I think if youlove one, you'll love the other.

Not only are the character designs similar, some almost look identical, but also the way it makes you feel and gets you to cheer for both people involved. Even though you know only one can get the guy in the end.
