The eccentric Suzumiya Haruhi wants nothing more than to meet aliens, time travelers and espers… but she’ll have to settle for the everyday Kyon instead! Along with the mysterious Itsuki and the vacant Mikuru, the duo forms the SOS Brigade – a club whose mission is to discover the mysteries of the world. Armed with a razor sharp wit and a skill for manipulation, Haruhi will stop at nothing to have fun at all costs, even at the expense of Mikuru’s dignity!
Konoha sometimes sees Touko on the street, reading simultaneously as she walks to school. One day, he joins her in the library where she requests for him to write a story. Together, the two discuss literature and escape into their imaginations.
Haruhi and Touko (the main protagonist of Bungaku Shoujo) are quirky girls that head understaffed clubs at their high school, and force their subordinate club members into bizarre club "activities".
Summer break is now over; the second semester has started for Tomoya, Nagisa and the others, and little has changed. Since Tomoya's relationship with his father is still troubled, he continues to live with Nagisa and her family, even if it means getting roped into organizing a baseball team for the family bakery. Life at school continues as normal with Sunohara as carefree as ever; however, when his sister Mei voices her concerns about him, the series of events that follow place a strain on Sunohara and Tomoya’s friendship. Whether it's saving a person from themselves or passing on a message from the past, one thing’s for sure: no matter how tough things get, good friends will always be there to help out.
I believe that if you like Clannad ~After Story~ or Suzumiya Haruhi No Yuutsu you would like the other because of these reasons.
1: They both take place in High Schools
2. They also both have a good if not simliar statement on how life can reward you
3. They both have the same element of a rogue if not weird or questionable person changing over time
4. They both have a simliar pattern as to how the plot goes forward from its beginning
5.Both of these anime's would surely not dissapoint the idle watcher and definitely not the hardcore otaku because they present a little bit of each genre of anime except machine/blood violence.
Miyu's parents have big dreams: her mother wants to explore the universe and meet aliens, and her father wants to develop a new space shuttle. In order to accomplish their goals they decide to work at NASA; but due to their inevitably busy schedules, Miyu is sent to live with a friend of the family. On the day she arrives at her new home, her caretaker leaves on a religious pilgrimage, leaving her alone with his son Kanata. To top it off, an alien baby crashes into the house that night! The ship is too damaged to fly so the baby and his pet/baby sitter decide to live with Miyu and Kanata until help arrives, whenever that may be. How can two unrelated middle school kids learn to live together while raising a baby that insists on calling them mom and dad?
Both Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu and Daa! Daa! Daa! (UFO Baby) are loosely-plotted supernatural anime. Both of them consist of daily school life, a slow romance, and oppressive female and calm male leads which brings me to think that if you liked DDD you'd love ZHnY (and vice versa).
Rentarou has been running the Futaba Detective Agency with the help of his twin assistants Sara and Soujyu since the previous man in charge, his father, died. To top it off most people in the neighborhood refer to him as Nidaime, a second generation man who lives in his father's shadow. His late father was a great man that was looked up to by everyone good or bad including Rentarou. With problems from his father's legacy presenting themselves, Yakuza that sometimes want him dead, a workplace/home that keeps getting destroyed and Sara and Soujyu's growing feelings for him, will he ever live up to his father?
