Both Tekkaman and Guyver deal with people who get their power by transforming into a super strong armored figure. Although that is also where perhaps the comparison ends, the feel of both shows is a bit similar. Though, Guyver is aimed at a slightly older audience then Tekkaman Blade.

Both shows also feature a lot of action and violence, with the hero continuously needing to fight more and more difficult odds and strong enemies.

Guyver and Tekkaman Blade are both quite old, as you can tell by their animation; however this does not deter from their storylines. Both series are similar in the way that an alien species has somehow created a form of bio-suit that can merge with humans' (possibly other creatures') bodies in order to increase their fighting potential tremendously. If you're interested in plots with creatures out to destroy the world, as well as an engaging back story with emotional aspects to the storyline, then either one of these is for you. Although these series aren't entirely similar in their storylines, they do share certain very similar aspects. It's worth checking them both out as they are valuable assets to anyone's collection.

Ah, the one fight that many mecha fans would like to see - Guyver vs Blade. It would be epic beyond proportion. That said chances are if you enjoy one of these you'll like the other, especially for the over the top action. Both Guyver and Blade are extremely powerful characters that fight to protect the Earth and their friends from various monsters and aliens. Tekkaman Blade does a better job at storytelling and handling emotion, while Guyver has a lot of interesting plot twists and ideals.

The Guyver and Hurricane Polymar are both shows about a normal man becoming a super hero with the power of a bio-weapon suit. While I like the Guyver better, Hurricane Polymar delivers the same punch-kick action with it's own flair for the dramatic.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that the Zoanoids of Guyver remind me of the demons in Bio Hunter, or maybe it is just the darker tone and atmosphere of each series. I just think that if someone enjoyed one, they should take a look at the other for something similar.
