Both World Destruction and Gurren Lagann revolve around a group of humans banding together to rebel against the Beastmen. The plots are intriguing and involve some pretty over-the-top fight scenes.

Chances are, you've seen Gurren before Umasou, but if you like the fight of the underdog and incredible fight scenes of said underdog and a much stronger foe you'll enjoy both. Both have emotional moments, loveable and loathable characters and leave you with good memories. These are top notch anime.

Wimp is the word I would use to describe the main characters of these animes. In both animes you will find that the main characters are both wimps, however through trail and tribulation they end up going farther then they ever thought possible.

Besides the wimpy main characters you will also see the one they hope to be. These characters are the leaders in there respective groups and is loved by everyone. These characters also both challenge the power that supresses the people, drawing in the main characters to help.

So we got, wimpy main characters, Strong and inspiring leaders, are we missing something? Oh yeah how about mecha battles. Both animes have mecha battles however I would say Gurren Lagann has better mecha battles that Guilt Crown.

So to end this I will say this. Both are great, Both will leave you wanting more after each episode but a fair warning Guilty Crown is a bit darker then Gurren Lagann, however I would still recommend watching both because they are both worth your time.

Both anime start out seeming like really happy-go-lucky, action/comedy, but then the s*** hits the fan. If you want another anime that pulls you into the universe, then suddently plunges that universe into despair with scary plot twists, look no further. Both deal with seemingly hopeless circumstances. Both start out small and just get bigger and bigger and bigger. Both have amazing animation, music, characters and story. Both have bittersweet endings, and can easily make you emotional. Personally, I don't think you could go wrong with either of them.

TTGL's main feature is the awesome, over-the-top battles.

Highschool DxD is mostly about ecchi scenes, but when it came to battles, oh boy, I could feel my hair rising everywhere - the exact same way I felt while watching the fights between Dai Gurren Team and their enemies.

I think Yoko made a nice eyecatch in TTGL, so if you want more of that + cool fights, you've got to watch Highschool DxD!

Although Gurren Lagann is much frendlier in tone, both it and Metropolis share similarities. Robotics fans will enjoy either anime, as Metropolis has androids as characters, and Gurren Lagann has mecha. They both feature a lower-class in a dystopia overthrowing an oppressor, and a character with a similarily mysterious identity.

TTGL is far more similar to Kill la Kill than Nobunagun, but the two share a similar tone and feel. Borderline (or flat out) campy action, weird protagonists, high octane action, giant weapons, tons of fighting/battles, etc. TTGL is far more spazzy and crazy than Nobunagun, but I suspect fans of one will notice the similar feel.
