Both LH and Tenchi in Tokyo have a teenage boy who is thrust into an awkward living situation with several teenage girls! While both young men try to stay focused on their previous goals, it seems almost impossible with all the new commotion in their lives. Each has the perfect recipe of adventure, comedy, and of course, teenage love.

These 2 series contain the same characters, only the meet under different circumstances, and follow different stories. The comedy and fighting is similiar in both, though Tokyo is significantly more childish than the other series.

Tenchi Universe

Tenchi Universe

Tenchi Universe is a twisted reboot of the original Tenchi series. Through a different set of circumstances, Tenchi Masaki meets up with characters such as Space Pirates and Galactic Princesses. Tenchi is then taken on an emotional roller coaster ride, as well as a space epic, as he discovers new things about his new friends, himself, and his destiny.

Each of these series focus on a shrine boy/ghost fighter meeting a new being from a newly unearthed shrine. Each series is a mix of supernatural fights and harem antics. If you like one, then the other series is likely up your ally.
