Both LH and Tenchi in Tokyo have a teenage boy who is thrust into an awkward living situation with several teenage girls! While both young men try to stay focused on their previous goals, it seems almost impossible with all the new commotion in their lives. Each has the perfect recipe of adventure, comedy, and of course, teenage love.
A classic anime theme of 1 boy living with/near/around an assortment of beautiful women that are all in love with him. Many misadventures follow
Aoi Sakuraba, heir to the Sakura department store, has only one thing on her mind-- her beloved. Betrothed from a very young age, she has been in love with him, Kaoru Hanabishi, ever since. After Kaoru left his family, their bethrothal was nullified. Aoi sets out to find him. Will they be able to stand against the barriers that will try to keep them apart?
Both series place a Teenage College-going boy in a stressful situation with several female characters who are in love with him. They also show a similar sense of humor. This is a great anime, and if you liked Tenchi in Tokyo, I gaurentee you'll like Ai Yori Aoshi.
Life can be tough when you're a teenager. Enter Tsukino Usagi, an average, if somewhat clumsy, junior high student whose voracious appetite for sweets and capacity for tears are offset by her enthusiasm for life. Her normal existence is suddenly turned upside down when a talking cat named Luna comes into her life. Suddenly, Usagi finds herself with the ability to transform into the superhero known as Sailor Moon. Fighting the occasional monster may be the least of her worries, though...
With Queen Beryl defeated and her Dark Kingdom destroyed, Usagi and the rest of the Sailor Senshi have returned to their normal lives, with one exception: none of them have any recollections of ever being Senshi! When a new threat appears in town, will the girls regain their memories in time for Sailor Mars, Sailor Venus, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Mercury and Sailor Moon to save the day once more? And just who is that little girl with the pink hair? Only time and transformations will tell!
Tenchi was just a typical high school student with an ordinary life, until one day he accidentally released a beautiful yet angry demon named Ryoko from her sealed prison… and thus his troubles began! With two princesses, a bumbling intergalactic police woman and a maniacal mad scientist entering the mix, Tenchi has his hands full. Will any of the girls succeed in claiming our young hero for her own? And more importantly, which one will Tenchi choose?
