Rhiannon is the fair and gentle daughter of a village chief. Unfortunately for her, she's also exactly the sort of maiden who is needed as a sacrifice to wake the Demon King Arawn from his thousand-year slumber and is soon kidnapped for this very purpose. However, when Arawn is summoned, he decides to spare Rhiannon's life, instead killing her captor and freeing her from mind control. Taken with his kindness, Rhiannon immediately decides to marry the Demon King, making him the new village chief. All of this is bad news for Rhiannon's protective but hot-headed brother Arthur, who must now pledge his knightly service to his new Lord, Arawn. Together the three of them must journey and together they must fight, encountering new friends and new foes along the way.
As an orphan whose life is in the hands of space pirates, Coud has had no choice but to survive on bravado alone. He has nothing to live for until he finds Ren entombed amongst the treasures in the pirate ship's hold, and awakens her. In addition to being mysterious and beautiful, Ren can transform into a battle sword to help Coud fight and prove his strength -- but with this strength comes the bitter realization that power alone is not enough. Now, in a race against time, Coud must endure betrayals and fierce battles as he struggles to return Ren to her home, before it's too late...
If you liked one, you'd like the other. They both have a sort of feel where the people are just going on with their normal life when this other person comes into the picture and totally changes their life. If that made any sense to you, you'll know that you'll like the other anime :)
In a massive online world, people act only as well as their conscience demands. When one player's punishment is to be trapped in this world, a disparate group of people seek the answers why. Their motives are varied; their methods even more so. What stands between when we tear down the walls of reality? Where does our soul end and we begin?
Dungeons and Dragons style, with swords and magic. The animation is practically the same, especially dress and hair styles. Although Tears to Tiara is more eventful, there is similar fighting in each.
When the infected approached Rei and Takashi's school, it led to a gruesome blood bath that left the majority of students and staff dead or turned into the zombie-like monsters that have spread throughout the world. Together with a handful of other survivors, Rei and Takashi set forth to find their families in a world that is rapidly detoriating. Governments have collapsed, the killer disease is out of control, and people everywhere are trying their best to simply live through each day...
Tears to Tiara and Highschool of the Dead are both very similar to me, due to the dumbing down of characters rational thoughts. The storyline of both series progresses quickly, as different characters deliver weak, melodramatic speeches that instantly change the mind of everyone. They also have breathtaking graphics, and likeable characters.
Kagome is a normal high school girl who falls into a well, transporting her back in time to the feudal era. Upon her arrival to this world, she mercifully unleashes Inuyasha, a half demon. As if this isn't enough, she also discovers that she is the bearer of the Shikon no Tama, a jewel of great spiritual power, a jewel which has just shattered into a million shards. Now, along with Miroku the priest, Sango the demon hunter, and Shippou the mischievious fox-demon, they must set out to find the Shikon shards and defeat the evils of the demon Naraku.
In both, a girl awakens what is thought to be a nasty demon, but turns out to be a dear friend. There is sword play, arrows, and magic in both shows, and focus on a group of friends. Also, Primula reminds me of Rin as she follows Arawn around the way Rin did Sesshomaru. Rhiannon's fighting style is a lot like Kagome or Kikyo, as she uses powers instead of weapons
Years after having been exiled from the Kannagi household for being unable to utilize their fire magic, Kazuma returns to Japan, only to discover that the Kannagi family's very existence is threatened. Unknown to them, during his absence, he had become a Contractor and thus acquired a vast strength in wind magic. Not showing any remaining contempt for them, he offers to help solve the Kannagi household’s problems in return for large sums of money. Together with his younger brother Ren and the feisty heir to the Kannagi household, Ayano, he fights to protect those he cares about... for a price!
With both main characters as sword users and both seem to be the bad guy at the begging these animes have lots in common. Both also involve the use of magic and both have very good stories about just trying to live out there days but forced under attacked. Lastly they are both very good in my book and I highly recommend either one.
