In the near future, the outbreak of a terrible disease called the Apocolypse Virus places Japan under the military rule of a global organization called the GHQ - a group tasked with checking the spread of the virus and administering vaccinations. Apathetic high school student Shuu Ouma lives in Tokyo, spending his days editing videos and trying to be left alone. But things change when he meets the beautiful pop idol, Inori, who is on the run from GHQ soldiers. While trying to save her from her captors, he acquires a mysterious power called the Void Gene that allows him to pull items or weapons from anyone under the age of seventeen. Now, Shuu must decide whether to join the efforts of the well-funded radical terrorist group "Funeral Parlor" and fight against the GHQ, or shrug off his newfound power and resume his normal life - assuming that either the GHQ or Funeral Parlor's charismatic leader, Gai, will let him.
Both have main characters that are "normal" people who get caught up in something way bigger than themselves and obtain some form of unearthly power to help them save the world. So what if one of them is in the real world and the other is in a game world? They have a similar style and feel; if you like one...I'm not going to say you'll like the other...but I bet you will.
Both contain a hero who goes on an epic journey that involves self-discovery, love, and awesome fights, and they'll both make you cry if you really get into your anime
both are kinda like survival and battle oriented with a little bit of romance in very tastefully done both these animes are very good
In a post-apocalyptic world overrun with great beasts called Filth Monsters, a glimmering dome protrudes from the wasteland. This is Zuellni, a mobile city unique for having a consciousness in the form of ‘electronic fairies’. Moreover, Zuellni is an academy where the next generation of powerful Heavens-Blade wielders gather to pit their strength against each other in inter-platoon competitions. Nina Antalk, military student and leader of the 17th Platoon, is intent on recruiting only the best; thus, when mysterious Layfon Alseif transfers to the academy, she instantly recognizes his abilities and decides he’s the perfect candidate to join her group. However, with a secret past that won’t leave him alone, and unknown powers beyond the academy taking an interest in Zuellni, Layfon joining the team is only the start of all their troubles.
If you liked one you will likethe other because both contain a hero with awesome sword skill who fights for their city/world
In both of these anime, the main character has past experiences that at first he tries to keep secret from his peers. These experiences put them on a lever higher than most and the end up being relied upon heavily to save there respective worlds.
both shows are based around a character that has great power, having to decide to use that power for the good of those around them.
In a world where magic is a reality, the young Louise is at the bottom of her class. Dubbed "Zero" by her classmates at Tristein Academy (due to her zero success rate for magic), Louise (along with all first year students) was charged with summoning a familiar; and instead of a cute magical creature, the familiar arrived in the form of... Saito Hiraga, a normal Japanese boy who was abruptly teleported from his own world?! Can both Louise and Saito come to terms with their new and complicated "relationship" and (more importantly) help Saito find a way home?
If you liked Sword Art Online, you might want to try Zero no Tsukaima (the whole series). For some reason Kirito has just always reminded me of Saito. There's not as much action in ZnT, and the romance is much more tsundre, but there's just something about these two that remind me of each other. I think it's that they both have a theme of "true love conquers all"....Like wise, if you like ZnT, you should check out SAO.
Both are themed in a fantasy world based on swords and magic. They also have a lead male character with special fighting abilities that they use to protect the ones they love. Both anime's have similar looking characters and they both include humor (more so Zero no Tsukaima), action, and romance. If you love one, you've got to love the other
Both anime have a large variety of charming supporting characters. They both have main characters trying to survive in a strange world. They both have a male and female team-up - working together and developing their partnerships, relationships, with some romantic tones.
Naruto Uzumaki is a young ninja who bears a great power hidden inside him, a power that has isolated him from the rest of his village. As such, his only dream is to become the Hokage - the most powerful ninja, and leader of the village; but first he needs to graduate! With his inability to perform even the most basic ninja techniques, it seems that all Naruto has going for him is his determination to succeed no matter what. Teamed up with the genius Sasuke, book-smart Sakura, and their team leader Kakashi, Naruto embarks on his quest to become the Hokage. But with outside forces posing a threat to the entire Hidden Leaf village, Naruto discovers that he must become much stronger if he ever wants to realize his dream and protect the friendships he's forged.
I recommend to everyone who likes Anime and MMORPG. One of the best animes ever. It includes some romance, fight and magic, so, it's the best mix you can possible imagine ;)

Both are increidble amazing animes, action/comedy/romance anime. Both Naruto and Kirito (tha main characters) want to become the bests on what they do in their own world, both animes are really funny and both stories are really excellent, for the ones who just like commercial anime SAO is a great option.
One day, without warning, a huge hole appeared in the world and demons emerged, ready for battle. Assuming that the demon king sealed by a hero 1,000 years ago must have escaped, the king of the land set forth a decree: the hero’s descendents must defeat evil once more! For Alba, one such would-be hero, this journey will be anything but ordinary given his growing collection of bizarre and wacky companions. Alongside young demon Ruki, age-inappropriate Ruldolf, tentacle-fighter witch Zwei and a host of others, Alba will get arrested, play dodgeball, travel across the land, and least importantly, learn the truth about the hole in the world!
The year is 2022, and gamers have lined up on launch day for Sword Art Online, a hotly-anticipated MMORPG that lets players connect to an immersive virtual reality world with special helmets called Nerve Gear. Kirito is one such gamer who's eager to jump back into action, having spent a great deal of time as a beta tester, and quickly becomes friends with newbie warrior Klein. But soon, Sword Art Online's 10,000 players discover that not only are they unable to log out, the only way they can return to their physical bodies is by beating the 100-level tower's final boss - that is, if their HP doesn't drop to zero first, for death in the game means death in the real world. Now, with no one else to turn to, Kirito and the other participants must survive the game as best they can – some forming guilds, others ruthlessly leaving their peers behind, and many tragically falling by the wayside or to the merciless monsters populating the lands...
They are both about a sword wielding hero who is set out to battle monsters. Both reminded me of Role-Playing Games.
However Senyuu is more on a comedy side while SAO is more serious.
