Years ago Hinata Himawari was saved from an airplane by a male ninja with a tattoo on his neck, and she’s wanted to become a ninja ever since. In the present, Himawari has been accepted into the secret ninja school for girls, Shinobi Gakuen; but upon her arrival she finds much more than she was expecting: Marikoji Hayato, the school newest teacher who has a tattoo just like her benefactor! Himawari decides to claim him as her master and vows to train her hardest to become a ninja worthy of his praise, but both Hayato and she face a great deal of skepticism from the students and staff. Regardless, Himawari is determined to be the best ninja she can be, and Hayato is determined to pay off his debt!
So, we have two incredibly energetic young girls obsessed by martial arts (as far as ninja skills and shooting dragons with your hand are considered martial arts); and then we have their love interests, a common poor weakling who has nothing to do with these practices but is constantly involved in bizarre and nonsensical situation. Oh, and then there are a lot of other girls with weird habits and each with her own personality.
To be honest, neither series is THAT good (though I think the pink shortie is much funnier), but if you don't take them too seriously they will prove a good way to spend some time.
Kazuki Shikimori is a 17-year old junior studying at Aoi Academy, an elite school for the magically gifted. However, unlike enrollment to the school would suggest, his magical prowess is below-average. In fact, he can only use magic eight times in his life, or he will die. But not all is lost: Kazuki's family tree includes the latent genetic material for magical greatness. After that information leaks out, Kazuki suddenly becomes the most popular male student in the school, and girls from powerful magician families begin chasing him to get his genes.
Sumomomo Momomo is very similar to Mabuharo i. At the very begining of SM (its getting tiring to type lol) there is a scene where Momoko's father is telling her that she will marry the strongest man and produce the strongest offspring. Well, that is a big chunk of the show and that is pretty much what Maburaho is about. Also, both these anime have all the girls just swooning for the male lead in the traditional harem sense.
Haruo is a short geeky schoolboy with a whiny voice and glasses, and the only one in his family without magic powers. Therefore it should come as no surprise that his life is a constant struggle to prevent being ravished by any nearby female. When a witch under a curse named Mamiya enters the fray, Haruo's precious maidenhood that he holds onto so dearly is placed in grave danger. With the added risqué brought on by the arrival of this new number one contender, Haruo's struggle becomes even more desperate, and his hidden powers begin to awaken.
I couldn't compare Sumomomo Momomo (SM) to Maburaho with out comparing it to Magikano since Maburaho and Magikano are verbatim the same anime in my mind. Both of these anime feature a male that has some super ultra mega untapped power that the girls want (more Momoko in SM than others). In SM, Momoko wants to have Koushi's kids because she will produce the strongest offspring cause Koushi is apparently the man and in Magikano Mamiya also needs to get into the main male leads pants because he is also the man (but she's not trying to make offspring, her reason is different, but that would be a total spoiler lol). And, naturally, the main male lead is totally oblivious to his super mega powers in both these shows
Years ago, Saku moved away from his hometown, leaving behind his friend and tormentor Mihoshi. As a child, Mihoshi constantly forced the bookish and shy Saku to play and look at the stars; and now, as Saku moves back home to attend high school, he prays for a quiet school life free from her grasp. Unfortunately, Saku’s desires are quickly shattered as Mihoshi catches sight of him and convinces him to join the school’s astronomy club. Alongside Mihoshi, the other club members and Hime - another girl from Saku’s past who’s determined to win him over - Saku continues his dreadfully unordinary high school life with a grimace and positive attitude!
Sora no manimani is the thinking man's Sumomomo momomo. The're no action, the spunky female lead isn't begging for sex and I don't feel like I need a shower everytime I watch an episode. That also means that the famale characters have more personality and dimentions (2 more to be exact)
Besides, it's not like sumomomo momomo had particularly good action.
In a world where magic is a reality, the young Louise is at the bottom of her class. Dubbed "Zero" by her classmates at Tristein Academy (due to her zero success rate for magic), Louise (along with all first year students) was charged with summoning a familiar; and instead of a cute magical creature, the familiar arrived in the form of... Saito Hiraga, a normal Japanese boy who was abruptly teleported from his own world?! Can both Louise and Saito come to terms with their new and complicated "relationship" and (more importantly) help Saito find a way home?
This anime is a great one if you like the over bearing circustances Haruo has to put up with. Then check out Saito's problems this guy just can't buy a break. Funny yet heart warming story of a Ordinary boy in an Unordinary world having to serve an exceedingly unsucceful witch in training, will he survive this ordeal and make it back to Japan watch it and find out.... you wont be sorry.
