Sky Girls TV

Sky Girls TV

In the not-too-distant future, Earth was attacked by mysterious beings and before long over a third of the world's population was destroyed. Even after bringing to bear its full, united military strength, humanity was unable to repel the assailants and forced into using weapons of mass destruction. This was successful, but the war and its conclusion resulted in the deaths of a crushing percentage of all fighting-aged males, and Antarctica being melted, causing much of the Earth's land to sink underwater. Years later, three young girls - Otoha, a headstrong country girl; Karen, a technical genius; and the highly-disciplined and strong-willed Eika - are being trained to pilot Sonic Divers, weapons being developed lest humanity be caught off-guard once again.

Both are very similar in their themes; where young girls are made to use high tech flying gear to fight against formidable enemies. The story lines differ though and there's a lot of "panties" in strike witches - a bit annoying but still watchable!

Loligirls can save the world! Thats what both shows are about, even though thats about it.

While in Sky Girls, you get some constantly panty showing girls riding a mecha in order to defeat evil monsters, you get some as loud as an airplane magical pantygirls in Strike Witches.

So I bet if you liked one show, you'll fall in love with the other! And if you dislike one, you'll surely hate the other anime even more. I did.

Shiraiyuki

I think that if you liked Sky Girls or Strike Witches, you'll probably like the other, because both of these anime are very similar, they both happen in a post-apocalyptic time, and the characters in both of these animes are teenage girls fighting in the military against aliens, and the only ones who can fight these aliens are those girls.

Oh come on, do I really need to put a reason here for this? Sigh... Look, both of these feature girls, in special fighting equipment, fighting to save the world from a poorly explained and defined threat.  Strike Witches is a lot more on the ecchi/fanservice side, but in my opinion has the stronger overall plot and animation quality.  Sky Girls is more "scientific" and less "Magic".  Both are definitely worth a look, and if you like one I can almost garuntee you will like the other.

In the year 2079 CE, malevolent creatures known as Worms arrived in our galaxy, wiping out mankind quickly and efficiently. Finally, when the war's outcome seemed to favor the invaders, humanity united and nuked its own planet in order to survive. Though the Worms were defeated, 50% of the Earth's land mass submerged under the ocean, and 90% of all young men were killed in battle. Now, several years later, the Worms have returned. The world's best hope for survival is the genius Karen, the swordswoman Otoha and quick-thinking Eika; together, they make up the Sonic Diver Unit, a mechanized unit capable of taking down the Worms! Yet the powers that be are skeptical of its force and aptitude. Can the girls prove their worth, and take down the enemy?

So-Ra-No-Wo-To

Kanata Sorami, a young Private in the army, arrives in Seize to serve in the Clocktower Fortress and learn the trumpet under the tutelage of Master Sergeant Rio Kazumiya. Though peace hangs uneasily over the world, Kanata finds a relaxing routine of laundry, shopping, and trumpet practice greets her at her new post instead of brutal drilling and discipline. With help from the other members of the all-female 1121st Platoon, Kanata finds her place in the bustling city, bringing joy and humor to the war-weary residents while learning a great deal about the world.

These anime are basically the same but strike witches adds in some fanservice and it a little more out there with it's plot. If you like cute girls that are the only ones fit for the job check either of these anime out

Girls, military, war.  They are still very different though. Sora no woto is aobut a eager-to-learn trumped player, in a relatively normal war between two countries. Granted this in a world where 95% of the landmass is uninhabitable.  Strike Witches is about saving the world from aliens, that wish to destroy it.  They are unrelated in plot beyond "Girls, military" but both have a similar feel, and you should watch the other.

Lime-iro Senkitan

Lime-iro Senkitan

On February 10, 1904, Japan entered a war with Russia; but Japan, in order to turn the tides, must destroy the Russian Pacific fleet before it is able to bring reinforcements. Battling on the front lines are brave men and women, and a secret team of specially-trained young girls who can control Raimu spirits with their will: the Raimu Unit. Enter Shintaro Umakai - a teacher who has accepted a job aboard the battleship Amanohara to teach the Raimu unit; however, Shintaro discovers his job has far more duties than he first anticipated: he must have sex with the young Kuki so the ship can awaken, he must dodge the sexual advances of his students, he must avert his eyes from Momen's constant accidental panty shots, and most importantly he must assume the role of their new commander once their old one is whisked away by the enemy. There's a war going on - what's a guy to do?

Military, war of some kind, and specially-trained young girls are the only ones fit to do the job. Lime-iro Senkitan is slightly more ecchi than strike witches but i'm sure you'll enjoy one if you liked the other.

Both anime have young girls with powers, given or otherwise, that fight monsters from the unknown. Lots of pantsu fanservice as well.

watch it online now!
