Chiko, Ana, Miu and Matsuri are back once more for a variety of misadventures. When Miu declares she wants to be an idol and then knocks herself out, she awakens in between the realms of Heaven and Hell with her friends as guides to the underworld. Beyond that the girls deal with prank calls and do their best at independent study, amongst other things. As always, they have plenty of fun in the process!
Meet the Minami sisters, three girls living on their own and doing their best to make it through life's little snags and adventures. Kana, the middle sister, has far more energy than common sense; Chiaki, the youngest, is more reserved, but her sharp tongue and devious mind often cause trouble for others; and Haruka, the eldest, acts like a mother to the other two, is beautiful and kind, but has a fearsome stern streak. Together, no obstacle can stand in their way, be it school, romance, or even cooking.
If you liked the slice of life style humour in Strawberry marshmallow Encore then you may enjoy Minami-ke as they both share that style of humour. Also the character of Miu is quite similar to that of Kana in Minami-ke as they are both more extroverted and a bit 'wackier' than the other characters.
With both shows revolving around a group of girls with very distinct personalities (the calm one, the shy one, the genetic failure), these shows are two of the same. If you enjoyed the cute, nonspastic comedy and the small adventures in the Strawberry Marshmallow specials, you'll surely enjoy Minami-ke as well.

Fans of any of the Ichigo Mashimaro titles (including Encore) will adore K-On. It focuses on a group of older girls, but has the same animation style, extremely similar characters and ample slice of life antics.
