Both Star of Cottonland and Minky Momo Bridge of Dreams surface as simple girly-looking movies that don't have much going for them; that would be right to some extent, but the two titles give a powerful message in the end. The events that occur in Cottonland and Minky Momo are not complicated, little drama occurs, and both possess a mystical feel. Things are very laid back. They are something to watch and reflect on.

Both anime are about the daily adventures of cat girls: to the viewer they appear as small girls with cat ears, but the human characters seem to percieve them as regular cats. The only real difference in the storylines is that Taruto has magical powers.

Nyanko Days

Nyanko Days

Konagai Tomoko is a first-year in high school and a shy girl. Tomoko owns three cats. The cheerful and live Munchkin Maa, the smart and responsible Russian Blue Rou, and the gentle crybaby Singapura Shii. Tomoko, whose only friends were her cats, one day becomes friends with Shiratori Azumi, who also loves cats. This is a fluffy and cute comedy about the daily life of Tomoko and her cats, Tomoko and Azumi's friendship, and the interaction between cats.

Both are cute anime that feature cute cat-girls.  While Star of Cottonland is alot older than Nyanko Days, I think fans of one will still appreaciate the other.

What's better than human-animal companionship built around a mutually beneficial relationship? Not much.

Egao & The Star of Cottonland feature a cutsey animal and young adult (female and male respectively) who have their lives improved by being togher.

If you liked the music video or movie you should give the other a try.

Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?

Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?

In a city somewhere in Japan, there’s a flyer often seen on Third Street with a picture of a cat with a kinked tail, bearing the words: “Have you seen Tama?” A young boy gazes at the flyer, but he has fluffy ears on his head…!? Watch the dogs and cats from Third Street take on a human form and get up to some mischief.

Similar idea: pets who appear as ordinary animals to their owners are shown as anthropomorphic/human-like to the viewer. Uchitama is about the everyday lives of cats and dogs (in the form of catgirls, dogboys etc.) while Star of Cottonland follows the adventures of a kitten/catgirl in her new adopted home.

Both follow the adventures of a kitten who has the appearance of a little girl. Star Of Cottonland has a more elaborate story, while Neko Neko Fantasia is a simple comedic sketch.

Both anime movies involve taking care of children with animalistic features. Though unlike The Star of Cottonland, the wolf children are kept a secret. I think The Star of Cottonland fans still might get a kick out of Wolf Children.
