If you liked the Spiral anime, the Anime-Planet community thinks you'd like:
George Kodama comes to the sity of Sagaru to solve a mystery from his past; his only aid takes the form of a single clue, a name: Araki Genzou. He arrives in Sagaru to find an ailing city controlled by two opposing factions, and quickly becomes mired in the conflict. These two factions, the Tanakura and Ginzame groups, wage war while George searches for his past, paying his way with work as a bodyguard. He is clever and deadly in combat, but can he alone save the city of Sagaru and still find his own answers?
Spiral and Kaze no Yojimbo are similar in that both Ayumu and George are mired in a mystery where it seems absolutely everyone involved is trying to hide something. (Each, incidentally, searching for information regarding their brothers) They may go about said mysteries in very different ways otherwise - Spiral with an arc-based mind games setup, KnJ with mafia politics - but if you liked the general dynamic of one, go ahead and give the other a go.
In Victorian England it is commonplace for the rich and wealthy to have a staff, led by a head butler, to run their households; the Phantomhive Estate is no different. The young and demanding Count Ciel Phantomhive, child owner of a toy company, lives in the grand countryside manor. Sebastian is his head butler, and the epitome of perfection; he effortlessly and gracefully completes his day-to day chores and fixes the countless mistakes of the other employees. However, whilst on the outside all seems prim and proper, a more sinister secret lies just beneath the surface. Sebastian is in fact a demon bound by a contract with the young count; he will loyally serve and fight for him in return for his soul.
The always-hungry Yako Katsuragi is a super famous high school-aged detective who cracks the hardest of cases with ease – at least, that’s what the general populace thinks! Behind the scenes, Yako is helped by Neuro – a maniacal being from the demon world who is looking for new mysteries to devour. Alongside local detectives and a helpful sidekick, Yako and Neuro will solve the unique and the bizarre cases that plague the city; but will Yako ever discover the truth behind her father’s supposed "suicide"?
Spiral and Neuro are two detective anime which have twists: Spiral with an insidious and ongoing villain and Neuro with its demonic undertones. Both have a similar feel, though Spiral is a bit darker. I didn't care much for either of these, honestly... but if you liked one, you'd probably like the other too!
The eccentric Suzumiya Haruhi wants nothing more than to meet aliens, time travelers and espers… but she’ll have to settle for the everyday Kyon instead! Along with the mysterious Itsuki and the vacant Mikuru, the duo forms the SOS Brigade – a club whose mission is to discover the mysteries of the world. Armed with a razor sharp wit and a skill for manipulation, Haruhi will stop at nothing to have fun at all costs, even at the expense of Mikuru’s dignity!
i'd really recomend these two series together only for the patient persons that keep trying to understand what's going to happend before it really does happend...they're really both mindtwisters where something complicated is bound to happen but in the end it always proves only something simple was to be done to solve everything...again if you do not like guessing what's going to happen in an anime u can still watch them since they are excelent anime nontheless
Rin is a private investigator with an advantage: near immortality. Thanks to the spores of the Yggdrasill tree, both she and her assistant Mimi have lived many years longer than the average person. That isn’t to say that being immortal doesn't have its problems. With 'angels' wanting to devour them, the being Apos sending wave after wave of professional assassins to kill them, and constant hangovers from long nights of drinking, being immortal still has its downsides. With Apos' attempts at removing them from the picture increasing, can Rin and Mimi figure out what he is after so they can return to their morning shots of Vodka?
both animes have a very well defined mystery aspect, and in both animes we see detectives investigating cases. The differences between Spiral and Mnemosyne are many but in what i mentioned above they are quite alike. If you like one of this two you might like the other one as well.
