Haganai: I Don't Have Many Friends

Haganai: I Don't Have Many Friends

Kodaka is a delinquent. At least, that’s what his fellow classmates seem to think. Thanks to his naturally-blonde hair and an unfortunate series of misunderstandings, the boy can’t seem to shake his false reputation and hasn’t made a single friend. That is, until one day he overhears the normally-aloof Yozora enthusiastically chatting with an imaginary friend, and discovers that she’s just as lonely as he is! In an attempt to finally meet people the duo decides to form the “Neighbors Club”, and are soon joined by a number of other fellow misfits such as Sena, the busty, popular daughter of the school president who can’t seem to connect with others. Together, the gang learns about the joys of friendship through many misadventures such as playing RPGs, visiting the swimming pool or even hunting down delicious takoyaki!

Special A features a club of elite academic students, and Tomodachi features a club of students who don't have any friends.  Both anime focus on the inter-relations between the club members, and the fun activities these members share together.  Get to know the club members and share in their slice-of-life moments of comedy and light romance.

Mayo Chiki!

Mayo Chiki!

Due to his upbringing with a wrestler mother and an equally-as-strong sister who beat him up constantly, Kinjirou Sakamachi would rather die than be touched by the opposite sex. What I find most similar about these two romantic comedies is their kya-inducing romances, which are painfully slow to develop. I'd highly recommend that fans of one check out the other.

Both of these are short, one season animes with strong, and aggressive, lead females. They're both comedic, and while Kaze no Stigma defintely has a darker flavor to it, if you like one you'll most certainly like the other.

Angel Beats!

Angel Beats!

Death and reincarnation are inescapable, but what happens in between? Without warning and without his memories, a boy who only recalls his last name - Otonashi - wakes up next to a girl named Yuri who offers him a gun and tells him to shoot an angel. Immortality is within reach, but if Otonashi remembers how he died, will he keep fighting or allow himself to vanish?

They are both aiming for the same audience, but Special A is more of a love story than Angel Beats. However, the main reason I recommend one after seeing the other is because of the comedy. If you love Hinatas gay jokes or Akiras obsession with Hikari, you now know what to watch.

You. Are. Welcome.

Classroom of the Elite

Classroom of the Elite

Ayanokouji Kiyotaka has just enrolled at Tokyo Koudo Ikusei Senior High School, where it's said that 100% of students go on to college or find employment. But he ends up in Class 1-D, which is full of all the school's problem children. What's more, every month, the school awards students points with a cash value of 100,000 yen, and the classes employ a laissez-faire policy in which talking, sleeping, and even sabotage are permitted during class. But among all the students who lead such self-indulgent lives, there is one who disagrees with it all and chooses to remain solitary, avoiding contact with others: the beautiful Horikita Suzune. She has figured out that, even though the school gives students huge amounts of money, it also offers many means of "assistance for students with no money." One month later, Ayanokouji, Horikita, and the students of Class D learn the truth of the system in place within their school...
