On a day that seemed ordinary, a spaceship crash landed in Tokyo bay, filled to the brim with beautiful aliens that would come to be known as DearS. Since that day, though all of Japan seems to have gone DearS-crazy, one high school boy named Takeya it still not impressed by the phenomenon. But things change for Takeya when he finds a lone DearS girl on the side of the road, who forces herself into his apartment, and his life! Now, he must brave a plethora of complications, misunderstandings, and embarassments, when all he wants to do is be left alone!
Even though it is differant in plot, Characters are VERY similar. Ikaros and Ren both love the main character and also seem to have a problem using their face for expressions. They also have to be taught the ediquit(Spell fail) and rules of the society. If you love the relationships in one, the other IS THE WAY TO GO!
Dears was last years Sora no Otoshimono Forte. The basic outline of each show is exactly the same; strange super powered girl from the sky comes to live with some hapless dude and hilarity ensues. It should be noted the Forte is the second season of the franchise so be sure and check out the first series if you have not already. Basically light on character development, what little there is in each title focuses on the idea of what it is to love and be human. Both Ren (DearS) and Ikaros (SNOF) act like stoned children who must learn the customs of the human world and their respective place in said world. If you liked one of these, try the other as they are very similar
Same here. I also think that most of the charakters are similar. Especially the main female charakters Ren/Icaros. They both have to struggle to show their true feelings. Although Ren at least is able to show a bit more of emotions during the series.
The only main difference is the humor. Sora no otoshimono focuses on the more perverted humor, which is very well made in this series.
not all, however, like that. so you can decide on which humor you like the more and if you don't care about that then watch both. I can only highly recommend both
I love both series but just comes down to what type of humour you enjoy. If you like the ecchi, peverted type (Which I think is hilarious) or the baseline humour that runs through anime.
Rito Yuki is a bumbling boy who wants nothing more than to confess his love to the lovely Haruna, but a variety of obstacles always seems to stand in his way. One day, while relaxing in his bathtub Rito found his hands full - literally - with the breasts of a strange alien girl named Lala who suddenly appeared in his lap! She is the princess of Planet Deviluke, and she has run away from home to escape the prospect of an arranged marriage; and unfortunately for Rito, his accidental groping is the traditional engagement ritual of his otherworldly guest! Deviluke's emperor will destroy Earth if Rito backs down from his "proposal," but all he really wants to do is be with Saruyama! Naked antics, magical powers, misunderstandings, Lala's marriage-happy family and Rito's own shyness are many of the barriers he must face in his attempt to win the real love of his life – that is, if Lala doesn't win him over first!
Big boobs, sudden girlfriends, perverted situations; both To Love-Ru and Sora no Otoshimono Forte have these properties in spades. These fine ecchi festivals, feature out of this world characters with superhuman abilities, impending threats and unknown dangers, as well as fist upon fist of yummy boobie groping. Who needs a coherent narrative when you have fishing for breasts or clothing that explodes? If you liked one of these you will probably want to check out the other.
