Karada is an elementary school student who acts mature for her age, and asks that people treat her like an adult. While praying at a wishing stone (negai ishi), she meets an older girl named Shouko. Shouko had moved to this small town to start a new life, but the same day she meets Karada, she encounters her brother, Hiro. Tension builds as Shouko and Hiro reflect on their past relationship while sending Karada home alone, and by the end of the day, both Shouko and Karada end up at the wishing stone hoping for change. Karada wishes to become an adult, while Shouko wishes for things to go back as they were in the past. That night under the bright moon, the wishing stone grants their wish, and an unbelievable transformation occurs: Shouko becomes a child and Karada becomes an adult. For Kouta and Yuka, finding the bloody naked young girl on the beach would change their lives forever, for better or for worse. But what neither teenager knows is that this innocent young girl is actually a killing machine -- an experiment gone terribly wrong -- and it is only a matter of time before the murderer in her awakens again...
Both of these anime have similar storyline.
At the beginning in both of them the boy who lives without parents find girl with abnormal abilities on seaside. She is chased by some people, so the boy invite her to live with him. In the next part of these animes there are some harem scenes beetween this girl and boy's schoolmate-girlfriend, who takes care of him. Both animes have many fight scenes using abnormal abilities of girls (yaka Matsuri and dyclonius Lucy). At the end of each anime reveals that this strange girl is connected with boy's past.
I had strong feeling of "deja vu" after watching one of these anime after another.
Sorry for spoilers, sorry for my English.
One day a light descends from the sky and splits into the ideal girls of Takeru and Ryou. That is where this gentle and vaguely romantic story about our ugly and beautiful world begins. Soon enough the story plummets into the secrets of global extinction and the meaning of life. Everything in this world that is beautiful has something ugly in it, and that ugliness is part of the secret of its beauty. Even for romance this is true...
I'd like to say that this is a long shot, but I really do think that these series should be recommended for each other.
For, This Ugly Yet Beautiful World, There are 2 romances that revolves in the story, Takery and Ruyko. They want to meet there ideal girls, and *poof* they get there wish. In the end, they must fight each other because there ugly "fake" love isn't real. As aposed to Sola, Yurito needs to fight 2 girls' quarels by sacurficing him as he is just a fake. Any more details will spoil the series.
Also, for Sola, there are these monsters called Yaka--imortal monsters or Calamities of the night--and have super powers; In This Ugly Yet Beautiful World, the main characters are either Alians or Humans that have super powers that can fly and fight. It's Ineditable that the Yakas fight each other just like the aliens do.
If you like either of these anime series, then be prepaired that the other series will be almost perfectly parellel. The plots in both series are very good, there one of a kind. I enjoyed, I hope you do too.
Kimihiro Watanuki is cursed with the ability to see evil spirits known as Youkai. Due to this power, the Youkai are attracted to him like a magnet, and each time he is close to being devoured. One day, fate drew him to a strange store and there, he met Yuuko, who was dressed in a very exquisite fashion. As destiny would have it, Yuuko has the ability to save Kimihiro from seeing the Youkai, but for a price: Kimihiro must work for Yuuko by performing chores around the store and other odd tasks, until she deems fit. With his "friend" Doumeki, and his secret crush Himawari, they will discover that the world they live in is nowhere close to ordinary!
At first glance these two animes may not seem to have a lot in common, since Sola focuses more on friendship, family, and romance, while XXX Holic is more about magic and morality, but they actually have a surprising number of elements in common. Both deal with the supernatural and how it can invade people's lives in ways they may not even be aware of. They also both have a brilliant mixture of joy and pain, friendship and lonliness, and fun and suffering to make anyone's heart run the gamunt of emotions. The plots and settings may be different, but in terms of the vewier experience and the underlying themes, I think if you liked one, you will defintely like the other.
