Meet Lina Inverse, a mighty sorceress who fights evil in the name of... greed, gluttony and black magic?! When she meets Gourry, a swordsman whose skill with the blade is rivaled only by his stupidity, Zelgadis, a grumpy sorceror who's been turned into a golem, and Rezo, a priest known for his benevolence (with a dark secret), you know her adventures are just beginning!
In another reality protected by a sentient portal lies the Magician's Academy – a facility for learning about the magical arts and the power of summoning. Takuto Hasegawa is one such student who must balance his life on Earth with his life at the Academy. His life was relatively normal until one day, he summoned a naked creature who he dubs Tanarotte, and who subsequently becomes his servant. Takuto must now care for this busty beauty, but it won't be easy – representatives of both the god and demon realms want to put a stop to Tanarotte's existence, for once she chooses to become a god or demon she will throw off the balance of power between the two kingdoms. Now, Takuto finds himself in the middle of a variety of ecchi and cleavage-heavy situations as he tries to continue his studies, while slowly and inadvertently acquiring more scantily-clad women that he must watch over.
Both animes are in the magic theme; but They also have lots of drama. As in slayers, the main character (whom some people say she loves Gourey) will be simular to Macademi Washoi's Situation.
In slayers there are both bad and good sides, simular to the gods and the devils in the Maxademi series.
If you like either of the animes, then I'd reccommend that you should watch the other.

The vase was the property of Ouran High School Host Club, a group of attractive young men who, for a fee, provide their time and affections for their lovesick clientele: the female students. Fascinated by this strange new specimen, a poor and clumsy commoner, they force Haruhi to work for them until the debt is repaid; but they get a lot more than they bargained for...
Although these two shows are part of different genres, they both have a solid cast of characters and spend a lot of time actually parodying the genres they're a part of. They take themselves juuust enough seriously to make you care about the characters and plots, but they're never above cracking a joke or poking at the fourth wall to show how silly their genres can be at times. If you enjoy comedy and fun characters, there's a good chance you'll enjoy these shows.
