Hinamori Amu is a stylish punk rock girl who is liked and feared by her peers, but there's just one problem: she's actually a shy and quiet girl who can't seem to drop her self-fabricated facade! But when Amu finds three eggs in her bed, she had no idea her life would change forever. Out of the eggs pop Ran, Miki and Su, Amu's Guardian Charas; these being represent parts of Amu that she wishes she could be, even allowing Amu to transform into those parts at will! Now, with pressure from the other Guardians (including her crush, Hotori) to join their midst, dark sides of the psyche known as X Eggs to seal, and nefarious forces after a wish-granting egg known as the embryo, Amu's life has officially become more complicated!
After her father moves and leaves her behind, Yui Komori arrives at the mansion she must now call her home, unaware of the horrors that await her. For Yui’s new housemates are vampires, and she’s been sent to live with them by the church as their prospective bride-to-be. But what sounds like the subject of a romance novel soon turns to despair, as these fanged beauties are delighted to have a new plaything to torment and will stop at nothing to force themselves upon her and drink her blood. Yui must now learn to cope with her new life of being sadistically abused at every turn, whether she’s called derogatory slurs, forced to feed the vampires’ bloodlust against her will, or being treated like the garbage they see her to be.
I think that Amu and Yui are similar in that they don't really know what to do with their lives now that they have canged so dramatically. But if you liked one anime you will like the other also long as you like vampires and superpower animes.
If you liked one of these animes then you might like the other one becasue they both have a similar main female character. The main female character likes almost all of the male characters around her but don't know who to chose. Also some of the male characters have similar character traits.
Twelve year old Mitsuki's desire is to become a singer. She has the talent and a beautiful voice, but she also has a throat tumor which threatens to rob her of her gift of song. As if things weren't bad enough, two shinigami inform Mitsuki that she only has one year left to live. However, all is not lost, for they make a deal that if she goes with them, they will help realize her dream by changing her into a healthy 16-year-old, who is able to sing and apply for auditions.
The voice acting, characterisation and young female character with mystical helpers makes Shugo Chara the perfect recommendation for FMWS.
Mitsuki and Amu are both cute and popular, one with 2 loyal shinigami friends and the other with 3 quirky guardian companions. Tackling the topic of friendship and loyalty, mixed in with some schoolgirl crushes, fans of one are sure to love the other.
I actually watch little to no "magical girl" anime. But the ones that I have watched, all rank really high in my books ^^ This is no exception for FMwS and Shugo Chara! They both revolve around girls that want to make a difference in their own lives and for others. That's what makes their personalities really shine in the anime.
Plotwise, Shugo Chara! is about learning who you are and accepting yourself. FMwS is about dealing with death and growing up... but I find that both really send their message clearly to the audience. Both have the cutest characters and not to mention hot male leads that steal the show =) Even if you don't like the genre (like me!) I still recommend it because it really sticks to you.
President of the Student Council at the almost-all-boys Seika High School, the hard-as-nails Misaki Ayuzawa works every day to make life easier on the small population of co-eds who have enrolled there. Though an unholy terror to all things male during school hours, in order to provide for her impoverished family, she secretly works after school at a maid cafe in Akihabara. However, when campus hottie Usui Takumi wanders into the restaurant during her shift, suddenly she finds her reputation in school at his mercy...
Both girls have a guy who likes them but they both don't have any intrest in them. And both main chars act diffrent at school then they really are from the inside. If you liked 1 you will definitily like the other.
Both have hot violin-playing guys who sexually harass the female lead. Both have crossdressing boys. Also, Sakura and Yaya have similar temperaments.
In the Middle Ages, a woman named Jeanne D'Arc claimed to hear God's voice. She led a lonely life and was burned at the stake, despite being the voice to lead France to victory in the Hundred Years War. In today's world, she is reincarnated as Maron Kusakabe, a girl whose mission is to prevent demons from stealing people's hearts. To do this, she must steal any artifact that they possess. Her best friend, Miyako, is a detective looking for the thief, without a clue that she's right under her nose. Will Maron be able to save the world from destruction, or will she be caught red-handed by her friend?
Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne is a great anime that of course.. has a magical girl transformation. (Kaitou - Meaning Thief) She "steals" (seals) objects that have a hidden demon in them that is controlling someone. It is all going well until another Kaitou comes into the picture, trying to take her targets.
This anime would be one to watch if you enjoyed Shugo Chara! ;)
They both have transformations. The story is kinda similar from the both sides. I think that you would love both Shugo Chara! and Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne. Both of them have magical girls try to rescue the world from evil.
Yukino had it all. Brilliant, athletic, popular and pretty, she was the perfect school girl with many friends and admirers. But then one fateful day she met her match: a handsome young man named Arima. Now, not only is he beating her at her own game, she's becoming more and more dismayed to learn that she's developing her first real feelings of romance. Can Yukino maintain her model student appearance, or will love ruin all her plans?
These series have in common that they star a young girl who slowly but steadily learns to shake off her façade of detatched coolness. In the process finding out that just being yourself is the coolest thing there is. Difficult as that may be sometimes.
Watching Shugo Chara! the characters reminded me of Kare Kano. Amu is like Yukino because both have personalities that they show to the world because they are afraid to show their true self. Also, Rima reminded me of Tsubasa a lot.
They're pretty different really, Shugo Chara! is the magical girl type & Kare Kano isn't. But I liked both so I think you might too :D
