Young perverted guys and the women who love.... wait wrong show. Though classic ecchi humor fills each of these shows they are also about just everyday guys that put themselves in absurd situations to hilarious results.
In a school full of delinquents there’s one badass that stands head and shoulders above the rest, Tatsumi Oga. One day, after seeing a bizarre man floating down the river, Oga gets the shock of his life when the guy splits in half and a baby crawls out, and immediately latches onto him. To make matters worse, a demon named Hildegarde approaches him and informs him that the child he’s suddenly inherited is Beelzebub, the next demon king, and Oga has been chosen to be the baby’s parent – that, and the baby’s cry emits a powerful electric shock that proves fatal if he’s more than 15 meters from the terrifying teen! Now, after discovering that he was only chosen for being strong and vicious, Oga decides to seek out the toughest badass of the lot in the hopes that baby Beelzebub will choose himself a new parent.
If you enjoy deliquents anime-style and the humor found in one of these shows then you will do well to check out the other. And if you find yourself enjoying the Beelzebub special, do check out the actual show next because the special is just a synopsis of sorts and you're guaranteed to enjoy the show as well.

If you enjoyed watching Shonan Junai Gumi, you'd definitely enjoy Kyou Kara Ore Wa; hands down. The main plot may be reversed, and the two main characters' relationships are different in the beginning, but the events and genre are alike! The humour, the use of distorted facial expressions, and the violence - it's the same. There's little differences between the two and I cannot stress enough that if you like this one, you'll definitely like the other.
Sakuragi has hit an all-time low. During his last year of junior high school, fifty different girls rejected him, the last one choosing a basketball player instead. Thus it’s no surprise that in high school, Sakuragi beats up anyone who dares utter the name of the sport. However, it’s not long until he meets Haruko, a beautiful basketball enthusiast, and is determined to make her fall in love with him – even signing up for the school team to accomplish his goal. However, winning Haruko’s heart won’t be easy, as her brother is the strict and protective captain of the basketball team and Haruko’s eyes are focused on Sakuragi’s rival, the talented Rukawa. Can Sakuragi give up his delinquent ways to help get the team to Nationals, or will his temper get him kicked out before he can learn to dribble the ball?
Regardless of the title and genre of these two shows, they are both very similar. An example would be that both anime have gang members trying to impress girls in different ways. In Slam Dunk it's via basketball, and in Shonan Junai Gumi it's via being hard-working students. And to add to the similarities would be that both shows have a mixture of fighting and comedy; if you liked the fights and humor and one, you would like the other just as much
