The members of Bal Masque have left the city after their last clash with the Flame Hazes, and as a result the Flame Hazes and their allies have been living a peaceful life; that is, until Yuuji and Shana encounter a Tomagura with the ability to create imaginary worlds from dreams. During a fight against it they learn that Yuuji has a Keeper within him protecting the artifact that grants him life: Reiji Maigo. Meanwhile, in school, new and suspicious students and the interest of fellow classmates have made Shana and Yoshida’s relationship even more complicated. With girl troubles at every turn, Yuuji must continue his training so that he may protect Reiji Maigo from the hands of Bal Masque.

The main thematic element is "enclosed spaces," an alternate universe that takes place inside a frozen normal universe, that only certain individuals can access.
Tenchi Masaki lives a quiet life helping his grandfather at the temple. Quiet, that is, until he accidentally unleashes a strange and beautiful space pirate from her 700-year-old prison. Things rapidly get worse for Tenchi when the royal princess Ayeka, cute Sasami, ditzy galaxy police agent Mihoshi and scientifically insane Washu crash land in his back garden to join the mayhem. Will Tenchi be able to shake off the unwanted romantic advances of these women, and what secret does his history hold?
These animes may not seem very similar but they both have the common hilarity of "Love Shapes" eg. Love Triangles. Tenchi Muyo! features severral women all after one guy, whereas in Shana theres only two women after the protagonist. Put it this way if you like awkward love situations your bound to like either one of these.
Cross Academy is a school with a difference: in a unique and experimental setup designed by the headmaster, it has a Day Class consisting of ordinary humans and a Night Class filled with vampires. Yuki Cross and her friend Zero Kiryu are school prefects whose job it is to make sure the secret of the Night Class is always safe; they patrol the school grounds at night and supervise the switchover of classes at dawn and dusk to prevent any 'accidents' from happening. While Zero is suspicious of vampires and hates the idea of sharing the same space as them, Yuki admires the Night Class for their beauty and sophistication; she is especially intrigued by their charming leader, Kaname, because he once saved her life. However, as Yuki quickly learns, not all vampires are amiable like the Night Class, and as terrible events unfold, Yuki must ask herself whether in a world where vampires are the hunters and humans are the prey, peaceful coexistence can really be achieved.
similar with what they are fight for. Keep peopel safe and danger from the world they dont know
If you like shakungan no shana, you like this anime, it with a different kind plot just dealing with vampire instead of monsters in shakunga no shana i guess. i dont know sure how u recall them. (Guze no Tomoagra)
In the town of Sakurashin, demons and humans live together in harmony; and to help transition its new members, the Youkai Life Consultation Office provides support and guidance. Its members contain mind reading, cat-eared Ao, strong and beautiful Hime, conjurer Kotoha, and Akina - a human with the ability to vanquish the souls of harmful demons. Together, the quartet will help the town stay safe and try to keep the peace between humans, demons, and those who would harm them.
Although this anime one is finding balance between them, i find that shakugan no shana is almost the same by trying to protecting the people

If you are looking for the similar interaction between Shana and Yuji, Zero no Tsukaima is the anime for you. With same voice actors and similar roles, there is more of Shakugan no Shana in Zero no Tsukaima than any other anime.
