Once a popular all girls' school, Ousai Private Academy is now co-ed due to declining birth rates. Takatoshi Tsuda, a boy newly attending Ousai solely because of the proximity to his house, is quickly forced to become the student council vice president and male representative of the school by president Shino Amakusa. Now looked upon as nothing more than a filthy pig by his female peers, Takatoshi must cope with learning about a whole new side of the opposite gender, hearing plenty of dirty sex and period jokes along the way!
President of the Student Council at the almost-all-boys Seika High School, the hard-as-nails Misaki Ayuzawa works every day to make life easier on the small population of co-eds who have enrolled there. Though an unholy terror to all things male during school hours, in order to provide for her impoverished family, she secretly works after school at a maid cafe in Akihabara. However, when campus hottie Usui Takumi wanders into the restaurant during her shift, suddenly she finds her reputation in school at his mercy...
SYD focuses on a all girls school, adding boys and taking a boy in as a student council member. Maid-sama is an all boys school that just added girls and has a girl in the student council. The series are both comedy with some romance (although maid-sama has a lot more romance).
An all boys school turned co in the one, an all girls school turned co in the other. While maid sama has more of a plot and character development, they both have a lot of ranomd jokes sewed in.
If you liked one you will probably like the other.
Having watched Seitokai Yakuindomo, I couldn't help but feel that I had already seen Misaki Ayuzawa before. It was then, that I realized that she and Shino Amakusa resemble each other a lot. Both are hard-nailed presidents, with the goal of improving their beloved school, which in both cases has just gone from all girls/all boys to co-ed.
I like both animes for their ecchi content and the perverse characters, but also for the fact, that they both take the plot and character developtment seriously. And last, but not least, the animation quality of both is orgasmic :)
Maid-Sama and SYD are very similar in many aspects. Both are based around characters of High School Student Council mainly. Whereas SYD features an all girls school turned into Co-ed school, KwMS is opposite of it i.e. Boys school into co-ed school.
Other common feature is hardworking president in both series, who work hard to make school popular for the newer sex (biys in SYD,Girls in KwMS). While SYD takes pick on perverted comedy, KwMS takes on romantic comedy.
Characters in both are funny with many common features - Perverted, hardworkers and few stalkers!
If you enjoyed one, you will love other one.
In present day Japan, the life of a school girl is never dull. The easily-bored Konata never finds time to study because of her otaku habits, which frustrates hard-working Kagami to no end. On the other hand, laid-back Tsukasa always manages to go with the flow, while Miyuki is concerned with keeping her status as resident know-it-all. Join these four girls as they muse and meander their way through everyday events such as eating chocolate cones, doing homework, gaming, and trips to the beach galore.
While lucky star parodies other anime, SYD parodies itself... a lot. SYD is a little more perverted, but the jokes are just as random.
If you liked one, you will probably like the other.
Both Lucky Star and Seitokai Yakuindomo are life parodies about high school life. Lucky Star involves only girls and goes more in-depth into the personal life of the characters where Seitokai Yakuindomo I based almost exclusively on the school life of the student council.
They are both fantastic comedies with a little ecchi thrown in the mix (more like sexual content in Seitokai Yakuindomo)
They are both hilarious and I definitely recommend them both.
Just be warned that Seitokai Yakuindomo is very much based around sexual jokes and awkward misunderstandings.
If you liked Lucky Star or SY you will also enjoy the other.
They are very similiar exept SY jokes are very perverted and LS are more mild humored.
But they are but hilarious and definetly worth the watch :D
Both are parodies/comedy and school life anime. the characters are similar and the humour in both are quite close to one another. Both are great anime.
School can be a boring place, but not for the members of the GJ Club! The kind Kyoya, meat-loving Kirara, calm Megumi, game prodigy Shion and pint-sized firecracker Mao always manage to have a good time while navigating day-to-day life, whether they’re preparing for the cultural festival, playing doctor, fixing TV signals by becoming human antennae, or simply getting to know each other better!
Both these animes are basied in a school enviroment with mainly female characters. alot of the story line of both these animes is about the jokes played on the main male character as well as how all the characters react with each other in the school club eg. "GJ-bu club" or "the student council". the only main diffrence is seitokai yakuindomo contains alot more crude sexual jokes.
In both anime MC is force to join the SC/Club but likes it. In both anime jokes are played on the mail MC by the female members and they are both funny and fun to watch.
IF you like Setikokai you will surely love the GJ-bu
An odd rec. But the shared idea of a young man forced to spend his non studying hours at school at the whims of the young ladies surrounding him. Either acting as a backdrop for thier crude jokes and the ever present straight man (Tsuda) or the teased and offten bitten (Kyou) both men have a lot on thier plate. SY has a extremely blue nature to the jokes, while Gj holds a much more softer edge to its humor. Both shows display school life and the tribulations of being a teenager though one has a heck of a lot more mosaics to elude the censors.
Both are funny and can be perverted at times. Seitokai Yakuindomo is more sexual in the comedy but both are awesome hilarious anime that I would recommend.
These two anime are very very similar in their style of comedy. However Seitokai focuses in on mainly sexual jokes while DLHSB is a bit more broad but still focuses on highschool students in and out of class.
At Yamaboshi High, joining a school club is required, so when Himeko, Iori, Taichi, Yoshifumi and Yui couldn't find a suitable choice, they decided to create their own: the School Culture Club! Together, they pass the days meeting and coming up with topics for the group's newspaper – that is, until one day, Yoshifumi and Yui proclaim that they switched bodies last night! Soon after, all five members of the gang find themselves inadvertently swapping at random, with no end in sight. What, or who, caused this supernatural phenomenon?
Both are school life anime aboutd not so normal group of friends and what happens to them. In SY they are in student council, while in school club at KC. Both have calassy sex jokes, though a lot more in SY, and not so classy... Both have a set of funny yet screwed up charachters. If you liked the sense of humor of one go watch the otehr.
Above rec is spot on, just keep in mind that Kokoro has strong supernatural elements which serve to drive along a complex plot, while Yakuindomo is essentially a gag reel.
