Both these shows are fast-paced, self-aware, self-deprecating, and self-indulgent, though Seitokai more so on every count. Both have harem elements but are not predominantly harems shows in the typical sense. The big difference is that Negima is adventure oriented and plot driven while Seitokai is about school life and episodic. Seitokai is the better of the two by far, but if you liked the pace and humor of either then the other is at least worth trying.

Jokefest anime in a school setting, that's what both Seitokai no Ichizon and Pani Poni Dash! are. Both combine countless parody jokes with a cast of cheeky personalities, and are mostly silly. If you enjoyed the nonsensical parody / comedy in one of these shows, make sure to check out the other!

Both center around groups of people who spend most of their time in comedic dialogue with each other and occasionally take action on part of a schoolmate. Both have quite eccentric male leads however Seitokai no Ichizon has pervert while Yahari has something more unique. The relationship between the male leads and their girls is fairly similar unlike most other examples in anime that I could think of. The exception being perhaps MM
