Some years into the future, a strange, unexplainable natural disaster has broken off a piece of the Japanese mainland. Known as the Lost Ground, it is now inhabited by people with Alters -- machine-like extensions of their own will. In the midst of the chaos is a young man named Kazuma, whose life will soon change forever as he discovers his hidden abilities, and how to wield them.
Nanoha used to be a normal grade school student until one day she found a ferret in the woods -- but he's no ordinary ferret! His name is Yuuno, he hails from another world, and he needs Nanoha’s help to complete his mission: to capture the Jewel Seeds (mysterious stones that imbue their wielder with great power) that fell to Earth. Along with Yuuno, Nanoha must now collect the Seeds and protect her world, but she isn’t alone. A rival is also trying to collect the Seeds for an unknown purpose, and only Nanoha has the power to stop her…
The rivalries featured in Scryed and Nanoha mirror each other quite well. Kazuma and Nanoha, fighting out of emotion; and Ryuho and Fate, fighting out of duty. They are truly reminiscent. Also, both anime utilize flashy super-powers in their battles, and both have a fair bit more to them plot-wise than it may initially seem. Those who enjoyed one of these two should certainly consider watching the other.

Scryed has a story that is very comparable to Naruto Shippuuden. Kazuma is being hunted down by an organization, yet has the hidden power to retaliate. While the main focus in both Naruto and Scryed is on the hardcore fights that show off a lot of different skills, there is also a pretty gloomy story and a few mysteries to discover!
In the year 200X, World War III began. Special bombs destroyed parts of cities such as Tokyo, leaving decimation in their wake. Decades later, ground zero in Tokyo – an isolated section known as the Black Spot – remains an enigma. Its residents known as Needless possess strange powers such as the ability to control fire or telekinesis, and are constantly hunted down by Simeon, a large pharmaceutical company with sinister motives and Needless of their own to do their bidding. Young Cruz is part of a resistance to fight against Simeon and its Needless figurehead leader, Adam Arclight; but after the resistance is brutally killed by Simeon’s minions, he finds himself saved by a motley crew: Professor Gido, scantily-clad Eve and badass Blade. Together, the gang fends off Simeon’s attacks and tries to discover the truth behind the corporation’s actions. What is Simeon really after, and why do they desperately want to find Fragments?
After being separated from him for ten years, Shin Kanzato and his brother Jun have moved to Ayanagi City to live with their older brother Ryou; but little do they know that a rash of mysterious murders have recently plagued the city, leaving the victims’ bodies turned inside out. Soon, Shin finds himself being attacked by a man who is able to summon a mysterious and ghostly creature; and more importantly, he realizes that he possesses the same powers. Now, with the discovery of more people like himself, Shin finds himself drawn further and further into the world of those who use "Persona."
If you liked the idea of personas of supernatural being fighting each other and a no so direct reason, you will like both of them.
ScryEd is a bit more shonen oriented while persona is more dramatic, but the entertaiment is pretty the same.
