However, when people once thought to be dead are found inside the bodies of the newly defeated Minesis, friends become enemies and new feelings clash with the old. Can the pilots of Earth's best defense against the Minesis keep their personal lives out of the battle long enough to save it?

Maybe it's just me, but both Scryed and Godannar seem to have the same feeling, as far as anime goes. Of coruse Scryed doesn't have the level of fanservice that Godannar does, but the overall flow of the episodes is similar and the colors and visuals are also somewhat the same.

Both these shows are action-packed, with explosive and exciting battles in nearly every episode. THey also have very similar feels as far as the setting goes, though RAVE is more lighthearted and comedic by far. A little romance, a little comedy (or a LOT for RAVE) and a heckuva lot of action. Basically, Scryed is sort of a midpoint between RAVE and Evangelion.

The relationship between Kazuma and Ryuhou in s-CRY-ed is very much like Brandon and Harry in Gungrave. There are times when they are at each other's necks but in the same instant they may turn around and save each other. If you think Kazuma and Ryuhou had a love/hate relationship just wait 'til you see Gungrave!

Both .Hack and Scryed have virtual reality elements coupled with some action in them, so if you liked one of these anime, you should watch the other.
