If you are looking for an anime with over the top action, and alot of main character screaming then look no further. The main character of kamina and the main character of S-Cry-ed share many of the same qualties, a boundless confidence, one hell of a set of lungs, absolute certinty of their goal and purpose while ignoring the small stuff like a battle here and there. While I found s-cry-ed had several competitions between characters that would involve a over the top fight, followed by level headed characters showing them the error of blowing up buildings haphazardly. This in my opinion is a anime worth watching if not just for the fact that you can just switch off your brain and enjoy the ride, in wither anime, who cares how his are, or his mech work or why............CRAP BLOWS UP! The action and fight scenes are decent and the villans are not to bad either, story follows the same progressing in my opinion and shows the progression of a street brawler yelling at the top if his lungs during a punch, to a more successful brawler yelling at the top of his luns while delivering a punch to defeat the main villian, a basic story line but as I said that is not a bad thing in these types of anime, buckle in and enjoy the ride with either!
Action and great character development is the main thing that these 2 anime have in common. s-CRY-ed is the right number of episodes where TTGL could use a few less. If you like character that are willing to push the limit to reach their goals check either of these titles out.
“Vash, the Stampede” - worth 60 billion dollars to the one who can turn him in. Bounty hunters everywhere are on the lookout for this legendary gunman, not to mention insurance agents Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson, who are tasked with preventing any potential damage that this Vash can cause. But with 60 billion on his head, Vash is not an easy man to find.

Yusuke Urameshi was a normal middle school punk until he was hit and killed by a car, while saving a child. His selfless action earned him the right to gain his life back and serve as a detective of the spirit world, keeping the world of the living safe from a myriad of demons. But being reborn has its price: Yusuke must hatch a spirit beast that will develop according to his actions, and if he doesn't act in a good and honest manner, it will eat his soul. Can Yusuke protect the human and spirit worlds and still manage to save himself in the process?
The similarities between Yu Yu Hakusho and s-CRY-ed are unavoidable. In both series the main character is a badass with unnatural powers that does things on his own terms and is accompanied by companions that help him throughout. Also, in both animes the main characters do everything in the their power to protect those close to them. So even though Yu Yu Hakasho is 86 episodes longer then s-CRY-ed, for fans of great action scenes, nice artwork and a decent story both animes are a must.
YuYu Hakausho also has those moments where his powers are not enough becuse he doesn't know he has great power or understand the propertys and possabilitys of what he alredy has. Then like Scryed show, he understands his powers and can use them to there fullest. BUT. unlike YuYu Hakausho, Scryed has a darker tone and an epic novel feel to it
