While Samurai: Hunt for the Sword doesn't feature quite the same caliber of frenetic humor as Love Hina, you'll find the intercharacter relationships to be equally amusing. The main characters in each series have a past that comes back to haunt them... in very different ways... but that doesn't stop them from putting the moves on a woman... or a few!

Rurouni Kenshin and Samurai: Hunt for the Sword take place very close together in the history of Japan, each featuring a main character who is somewhat reluctant to fight with all his heart. That changes, however, when the past comes back to haunt them. Great shows, worth every minute for the wonderful characters and excellent combat animation.

Tenchi Muyo! and Samurai: Hunt for the Sword are both series about humble young men with great latent power and the women that fawn over them. Both of these shows feature terrific character designs and heavy doses of comedy to balance the combat and sometimes-sparce dialogue.

Short ecchi elements in Samurai: Hunt for the Sword and Labyrinth of Flames really makes them alike. Both of them are about young samurai who are surrounded by girls and trouble, but in the end they somehow deal with it. However, Shinjuro looks and acts more intelligent than Galan.
