An unpleasant past, superhuman powers, a female that never stops complaining, and he still stays calm?? What can you desire more? :). Both anime have amazing action with a fine touch of comedy.
The main characters are very similar in both series..cool and handsome guys who have to put up with their past in order to be able to be in love again..they are both very strong and have to deal with many obstacles. If you liked one, you would surely like the other.

Naruto is a little more light hearted than Samurai Deeper Kyo, but if you want a newer anime series that has a lot of action and fighting, then I can almost guarantee you'd like Naruto.
Both Naruto and Samurai Deeper Kyo are about someone with a demon living inside them. The fighting is very similar, and a lot of the side characters are interesting too.

PMK and Samurai Deeper Kyo are must-see anime. Both have extreme sword fights. In Kyo the main character is a skilled swordsman, while in Kurogane the main character is trying to be skilled in order to defeat one of the top fighters.
If you are the type that likes anime with a samurai main character, then you would like PMK and SDK.
In both you will find a mixture of sadness and happiness; the characters have sad pasts but also bright presents, and each has a main character that is always surrounded by people who helps him to discover himself and change for the better. In addition, this main character helps others become better people.

As an OVA into Kenshin's past, this anime shows his previous darker side where slaughtering 1000's was his duty, much like Kyo's darker side of Demon Eyes Kyo.
The Four Lords of Havoc have one terrible goal – to awaken the god Anthrasax and recreate the world. To stop them, Yoko, a maiden of Metallicana, awakens the ancient wizard Dark Schneider from within a 14-year old boy by bestowing upon him her virgin kiss. The only problem now is that the most chaotic, lecherous wizard in history resides inside the body of an innocent child. Even worse, he’s determined that neither hydras nor minotaurs should stand between him and his dream to conquer everyone and take the women for himself… all of which is less than convenient when trying to save the world!
Bastard!! and Samurai Deeper Kyo center around a similar scenario: a extremely powerful and self serving warrior is trapped in the body of someone much less powerful. What follows is the journey to try to free themselves from their weaker host, resulting in numerous battles against more traditional evil forces. If you enjoyed the battles in one of these series, you should be right at home with the other.
