At Cromartie High, it’s tough being a delinquent -- a fact that do-gooder Takashi Kamiyama intimately understands. When he’s not engaging in contests of strength and rival gang wars, Kamiyama can also be found submitting punny jokes and planning his own rise to fame within the delinquents’ ranks, and that’s just the beginning! With friends like robotic Mechazawa, a giant gorilla, a hairy man from the 80s named Freddie and a clan of delinquents with mohawks that flow in the wind, how can anyone not enjoy high school?
If you liked Cromartie you will like Otoko Juku (and vice versa) because both are comedies that revolve around an all guys school. The main difference between the series is the amount of fighting (Otoko Juku contains epic battles while Cromartie mainly had the fighting offscreen).
Imagine a world devastated by nuclear war, where the strong oppress the weak and strength is the one thing that will ensure survival. A world where even close friends can betray you for power, a lesson that Ken, the Fist of The North Star, learns when he is nearly killed by his closest friend and left for dead. He's not an easy man to get rid of, and he returns - very angry.
Both animes share a very similar animation and character design if you enjoyed the animation in one you will surely like the other. They are also both fighting shows invloving extremely buff men. Hokuto no Ken focuses more on martial arts with head exploding moves while Otokojuku focuses more on delinquents beating each other up and showing "guts".
