Synopsis:

Life can be tough when you're a teenager. Enter Tsukino Usagi, an average, if somewhat clumsy, junior high student whose voracious appetite for sweets and capacity for tears are offset by her enthusiasm for life. Her normal existence is suddenly turned upside down when a talking cat named Luna comes into her life. Suddenly, Usagi finds herself with the ability to transform into the superhero known as Sailor Moon. Fighting the occasional monster may be the least of her worries, though...

If you like Sailor Moon you'll probably like Kare Kano. They're pretty much the same but just cut out the action parts in Sailor moon. In the begin the 2 lovers really don't get alone, for the mean while. Also, during the relationship the male starts having pyhcological problems, but nothing to serious. So bacially it has that love and comdey mood and tone^.^

The reason I'm recommending you to watch sailormoon here is merely to check out the horrible similarities between those. Papillon Rose is a parody of SailorMoon and if you like the magical concept in papillon rose, but didn't like the nudity and ecchiness, you could try the, more childish, sailormoon. If you have watched all of sailormoon, papillon rose is a MUST see, due to the simple reason that there are alot of sailormoon phuns in there, keep in mind that you'll be presented something aimed at a more adult public though.

DuskFey

A girl with magical powers who whines, needs to do some growing up before she's going to be able to save the day, has four friends to help her, and faces a different monster each episode? Yep. You'll get that in both Magic Users Club and Sailor Moon.

Mahou Shoujo Tai Arusu

Mahou Shoujo Tai Arusu

Alice is a preteen girl who believes in magic, much to the dismay of her parents and peers. But when she finds herself transported into a dreamlike world filled with magic, forest sprites, and witches, she finds out that magic is sometimes not all it’s cracked up to be. The witches of this world must capture forest sprites for use in casting their spells, and magical hierarchy dictates that those at the bottom must compete to get to the top. Dream or not, Alice must use her positive attitude to show these witches that magic should be used to spread happiness, first and foremost!

Both of these anime involve Magical Girl teams that try to save the world from dark forces. Both of the protagonists are flung headlong into a battle of good and evil, and while they can be ditzy, they show great prowess in their respective magics. The team dynamics are also fairly similar in these animes.

Mamotte! Lollipop

Mamotte! Lollipop

Nina was just a normal twelve-year-old girl - until she ate a strange candy-like jewel that fell out of the sky into her sundae. The jewel, it seems, is known as the Crystal Pearl, and it is sought after by hordes of magic users who aspire to become professional magicians. Whoever is in the possession of the Pearl on Christmas will pass the test; leaving Nina as the most sought after item of the magic world. Luckily for her, two handsome magicians, Ichii and Zero, have pledged to keep her safe until the contest has ended. Can Nina keep her sanity with not only dozens of magicians out to capture her, but also the invasion of these two hunks into every aspect of her life?

Both of these shows are mahou-shoujo (Though Sailor Moon more so) and both feature guys as magical heroes as well as the girls.

Sailor Moon has more depth but both are also romances where love triangles take part in the storylines.
