Haruo is a short geeky schoolboy with a whiny voice and glasses, and the only one in his family without magic powers. Therefore it should come as no surprise that his life is a constant struggle to prevent being ravished by any nearby female. When a witch under a curse named Mamiya enters the fray, Haruo's precious maidenhood that he holds onto so dearly is placed in grave danger. With the added risqué brought on by the arrival of this new number one contender, Haruo's struggle becomes even more desperate, and his hidden powers begin to awaken.
Both of these animes are of the Harem variet, so if you are familiar with the breed, then you know that the themes are similar. In Magikano the main male lead is totally wanted by all the females (even his sisters) and the main female (in the case of Magikano, Mamiya) will get really angry if you touch her man. This is the same as Rosario + Vampire with Moka and Tsukune. And, of course, all the females are more than willing to fight to the death for the male in both these series. I think that if you like one you are bound to like the other.

"Rosario to Vampire" and "Lime-iro Senkitan" are both similar, yet different. The male lead has a new school to go to (albiet one is a teacher, the other a student) which is situated in a strange location. Their school isn't what they thought it would be at all and on top of that, there are a few girls who like them. These two series are both very entertaining and despite being only 13 episodes long, there's plenty of room for character development for everyone (that matters) as well as following the main plot of the story. Long story short, watch one if you liked the other and you'll attain satisfaction.
