Busou Renkin

Busou Renkin

Some things in life are so bad that you'd like to pretend they're just a dream. Unfortunately for Kazuki, trying to save a strange girl from being brutally killed by monsters (and ending up dying instead) is an unfortunate reality. Out of pity, the girl replaces Kazuki's heart with an alchemy-based artifact known as Kakugane, so that he may live on. With this strange device, Kazuki gains the power of Busou Renkin -- Arms Alchemy; a power that will come in handy when monsters (and worse) begin to plague his town! Kazuki soon meets the girl from his “dream” (named Tokiko) in reality, and she tells Kazuki to get on with his life; but with his sister and friends in danger, that might not be possible. Besides, if Kazuki gives up the chance to show off just how manly he can be, how can he hope to win the heart of the alluring older-sister-like Tokiko?!

Because of the main theme of the male hero fighting anyone/anything even at the cost of his life to protect those loves, and both have silly/funny moments mixed with romance.

Rosario to Vampire and Elfen Lied, although seemingly unrelated the personalities between Lucy and Nyuu and Mako’s vampire form and human form have similarities in the characteristics that each portray. The transformation has a more mature attitude and seems to be more capable all around while untransformed there is an innocent girl in place that relies on others for help.

Both Rosario to Vampire and Witchblade seems to have vampirific tendencies. The transformation form has a more mature attitude and seems to be more capable all around while untransformed there is an innocent girl in place that relies on others for help. Rosario to Vampire seems to be more innocent in content although it does have ecchi in it while Witchblade has a great deal of violence and nice fighting scenes.

But as mankind advances, the people have begun to take command of nature for themselves and have made their own god to worship. Holo finds that she is paid little more than lip service, if not outright mocked; and considering the contract annulled, she takes human form and enlists the aid of a passing merchant, Kraft Lawrence, to return to her home in the snowy forests to the north. As they journey together, Kraft finds that he has plenty to learn from this capricious god, and she from him as well.

Both series have a supernatural aspect to them eventhough in Rosario + Vampire it's a little bit more evident with the setting being in a "school for monsters" while the main supernatural event in Spice and Wolf is Horo.

Also, both have a romantic side to them, and a totally loveable female main character! Moka from Rosario+Vampire is very sweet, and we are constantly watching what will happen with her relationship with Tsukune. In Spice and Wolf the same thing happens with the relationship between Horo and Lawrence. Horo is also a sweet character, as well as a very whitty one! I think if one of them gets hold of your heart the other one will do so too, be it because of the humor, sweetness or sexiness.

Both series are lots of fun! I think that if you enjoy one you'll definately enjoy the other.
