Both Rosario to Vampire and Occult Academy have similar themes. Secret academies that cater to students interested in the occult. Although varying greatly in execution and content, they are both worth watching if the magical school anime is your thing.

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai

Thanks to his naturally-blonde hair and an unfortunate series of misunderstandings, the boy can’t seem to shake his false reputation and hasn’t made a single friend. That is, until one day he overhears the normally-aloof Yozora enthusiastically chatting with an imaginary friend, and discovers that she’s just as lonely as he is! In an attempt to finally meet people the duo decides to form the “Neighbors Club”, and are soon joined by a number of other fellow misfits such as Sena, the busty, popular daughter of the school president who can’t seem to connect with others. Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai reminds me a lot of Rosario to Vampire in the sense that the male protagonist is in search of friends in a new school. Both shows are centered around school life and full of comedic moments, but Rosario to Vampire focuses more on action and romance than Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai does. You can expect otaku references, laugh-out-loud moments, ecchi scenes, and even tons of moe in both shows as the male protagonists tries to live out a normal everyday school life.

Both are well executed high school harem comedies with the male leading being a lot more likeable and less perverse than most.  Ichigo is more realistic and dramatic, while Rosario is more supernatural and comedic.  Ichigo is the superior show by far, but if you found one entertaining, the other will probably satisfy as well.

Azumanga Daioh

Azumanga Daioh

Ten-year-old genius Chiyo, animal-loving Sakaki, loudmouth Tomo, athletic Kagura, weight-conscious Yomi and dim-witted Osaka are six friends who share laughs, good times, and a high school homeroom. With scary (and sometimes perverted) teachers, school festivals, penguin suits and general hilarity abounding, you can be sure that there's never a dull day in the life of one of these students!

Why these two when Rosario is clearly more ecchi than Azumanga? Well, because Azumanga parodies the ecchi school girl anime (see Kimura for reference), and because both of these animes are a lot of fun. While Rosario has a bit more fighting and drama, Azumanga is not without its share of hilarious action. School trips, girl geniuses, and mentions of breat-size float between these two animes.
