Sekirei

Sekirei

Minato Sahashi was living a normal life; he had just failed his college entrance exam for a second year in a row, and lived a quiet life in a single's apartment. That is, until the busty Musubi fell from the sky on top of him! She is a Sekirei, one of 108 that are destined to fight each other until only one remains; and he or she will ascend to heaven with his or her chosen one known as an Ashikabi. Minato soon finds himself in the embrace of Musubi, becoming her Ashibaki - but his life will only become more complicated. Musubi isn't the last to claim Minato as her Ashibaki, and what's worse, plenty of other Sekirei and opponents stand in his way!

If you are looking for young women fighting with short skirts and/or their boobs hanging out of their shirt then these are the shows to watch. Both of the shows have a seemingly weak male who has attracted the attention and love of beautiful and busty girls through emotion and thoughtfulness. Both shows also have magical elements and enemies that the girls must protect their "master" from, but Rosario to Vampire mostly deals with monsters, whereas Sekirei deals with other girls with special powers. If you liked one then give the other a try.

Ravenstar Ravenstar says...

Ecchi, magical-girl, combat anime!

That single statement sums up both anime series. Although Sekirei and Rosario suffer from thin plot-lines, that isn't the reason to watch either of them in the first place.

If you are looking for a good laugh, especially one accompanied by a nose-bleed, you just found it.

Theese anime contain lots of ecci, panty shots and fighting. They both contain the weak male type and the awsome girl type with inhuman combat abilities.

both anime take about a worthless hero who gets loved by alot of girls. the girls fight to protect the hero from his rivals ,the girls fight among them selves to get the hero. the only thing the hero can give these girls is his love and compation for them

Jingle Boobs, Jingle Boobs, jingle all the way.

Useless male protagonist in the middle of a harem. Of course he's their hero, even though he seems completely useless, but then there are moments of heroism. So manly!

Like one, love both. Or maybe the opposite.

Gharial Gharial says...

If you loved Rosario to Vampire's Action & Harem scorned it for the LARGE helpings of Fan Service it spooned you, Then Sekirei is for you!

The eechi meter is slightly toned down for Sekirei, They're far more blunt than that.. Lots of Action, Girls, Superpowers and a bit of full Nudity. Make for a potent 12 episode series!

Both feature a guy winning women over through kindness, and all the girls are extremely powerful. In both animes the guy isn't that strong, but still attempts to protect and care for the women that love him. If you liked Rosario to Vampire you'll love Sekirei and vise versa.

Both ecchi, multiple girls like the same guy, both funny.  The main character isn't all that special, but he manages to do something great.

Pretty girls, super powers, action scenes that include panty-shots, and one loli character amongst a sea of big-breasted women. Samuu Samuu says...

Rosario to Vampire and Sekirei are very similar animes in terms of characters and style.  Both have the aspect of a group of girls with powers chasing after one (powerless) guy.

I also took notice that the characters from both seem to be very relatable; almost like pairs.

Tsukune = Minato

Moka = Musubi

Kurumu = Tsukiumi

Yukari = Kusano

Mizore = Matsu

Ruby = Kazehana

Ginei = Seo

etc...

phoniefly phoniefly says...

Rosario to Vampire and Seirei both have the top heavy beautiful females. That have a huge rush of emotions going thru them at all times. Also both are ecchi fighting/action type. It isn't all just panty shots and boobs but they both havea  well thought out story that makes them both very good animes to watch

Classic Harem anime, both with fairly good stories and comedy.

They both have some sort of girl action.The girls in there fight for the main boy character like Tskune and all of them want him.It has slight ecchiness and the girls there all cmpete for him.It'll start of kind of boring so give it a chance and watch all the way to the 2nd episode.

Karin

Karin

Karin is a vampire, but as fate would have it she is a freak among her own kind; for Karin doesn’t drink the blood of her counterparts – she is cursed to be a blood maker, forcing her to inject her extra blood into her victims. What’s worse is that if she doesn’t find an outlet for the blood in time, it explodes in a massive nose bleed of impressive volume. In Karin's twisted day-going state, she finds it nearly impossible to find safe victims; so, nose bleeds are a major problem. When transfer student and new classmate Usui Kenta proves to have exactly the kind of emotions her vampire nature most enjoys, she finds herself in comedic dire straights!

Both Karin and Rosario to Vampire center around the romantic involvement of a human and a vampire. They both have problems adjusting to the stark differences between humans and monsters, and are a little on the kawai side. Rosario, howerver, is a harem style set in a monster school, while Karin is a slice of life set in a human school. Either way, laughter and endearment abound in both. Anyone enjoying one would almost definitely enjoy the other.

Both series are about human boy and vampire girl. Althrought Rosario to Vampire have a little more action, both anime have comedy and romance elements. If you watched either of this anime - you should definitely think about watching the other.

Karin and Rosario to Vampire both have a simliar plotline. Both of the vampire leads are girls and the person they love isnt their species and usually an enemy! Also both of these stories deal with magic or mystery so you would also love this series! Romance is defintely in both!

Bloodyred Bloodyred says...

I recommend Karin and Rosario to Vampire because they are both based off of vampires/monsters. Both of these have lots of comedy and love scenes. The main focus is high school students dealing with everyday things in life well at least for monsters. Somehow a human male gets stuck in the middle of all this chaosin both of these two stories. I wonder how he is going to deal with it?

Spectrum Spectrum says...

Karin and Rosario to Vampire are about vampires and both of them are comedy. Karin same as Rosario to Vampire have romance plot between main characters. If you do like one of the anime I do recommend to watch another one.

If you like Rosario to Vampire then try Karin. It's a realy good anime. I found it hard to believe, that Rosario to Vampire ended so quickly, but Karin can more or less fill the hole for you. They both are about school and the girl being the vampire, but Karin is looking at facts about Vampires more. Anyway, both of these anime ar very good.

sarrysar09 sarrysar09 says...

Both Karin and Rosaro to vampie are feel good romances about a boy and a female vampire. Even though Karin is a vamire there is a twist to this anime that I think those who enjoyed the world of monsters in Rosario to Vampire will appreciate.

Kiriya Kiriya says...

Teenagers. Check.

School life? Check.

Romance? Check.

Vampires? Check.

Both of these are very similar in that they both feature teenagers, a vampire chick (albeit very different ones).  Both can be light hearted, and both can be dark.  Karin lacks RtVs Harem, and has substantially less ecchi and fanservice.

Though the male leads lack much similarity, both are friends of a female vampire, and have to try to deal with the issues that arise because of that.  Different, as Tsukune just get's bitten every episode, Karin rarely bites anyone.

School life and Vampires.  Both are good, if you liked one chances are you will like the other.

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou

When a hapless human teenager named Kurusu Kimihito is inducted as a "volunteer" into the government exchange program, his world is turned upside down. A snake-like lamia named Miia comes to live with him, and it is Kurusu's job to take care of her and make sure she integrates into his everyday life. Unfortunately for Kurusu, Miia is undeniably sexy, and the law against interspecies breeding is very strict. Even worse, when a ravishing centaur girl and a flirtatious harpy move in, what's a full-blooded teenage human with raging hormones to do?

Same harem with human male and non-human females. The only difference is that in Monster musume is that monsters live among humans.

Zaig Zaig says...

Obvious recommendation is obvious - monster girls are the central theme in these supernatural-comedy anime about a "lucky" guy who gets hurt by his own out-of-control harem. Naturally, since the girls all have a thing for the male protagonist, various perverted opportunities arise as each character attempts to snatch the man up for herself using any - often indecent - means necessary.

hamletsmage hamletsmage says...

Although the girls of Rosario are more human in appearance than the girls of Musume, make no mistake, these harems are monsters. Both of these animes feature the human protagonist suddenly finding himself with a heaping helping of monster-girls. Monster girl harems.

Monster musume has more anthropomorpic girls while the Rosario girls have powers.

Nicknames Nicknames says...

Both are light-hearted ecchi harem shows that feature a human guy surrounded by monster girls. Both shows also have a similar vibe, even though the main protagonist in Rosario + Vampire is a high school student and the show itself takes place in a school; while Monster Musume's main lead is an adult who ends up with a bunch of monster girls in his own home.

Fans of one will definitely enjoy the other.

BurningSnoMan BurningSnoMan says...

Shuffle!

Shuffle!

Kaede is a devoted high school student who lives with her adopted brother Rin. She holds a quiet confidence that one day, when Rin finally starts showing interest in sex, he will make the obvious choice and turn to his loving sister. But what Kaede wasn’t counting on was the lords of heaven and hell coming to Earth, wanting Rin to mate with their nubile daughters! Rin, like any teenager would, takes full advantage of his newly acquired harem; but how long can he keep up his carefree, boxed-lunches-on-the-rooftop lifestyle, as the horde of girls on his tail grows?

Skippy Skippy says...

Both series involdes a guy with girls falling for him left and right. where the guys is protected by the girls more so in rosario to vampire then in shuffle!

Ravenstar Ravenstar says...

Both anime have strong elements of fantasy; Shuffle! deals with gods, demons, and humans, while Rosario deals with a lone human guy in a school full of monsters.

The guys, though, are radically different. Although both guys are fully aware of what is going on around them, Shuffle's Rin is more in control of himself and his situation than Tsukune is.

And, while both are comedic, ecchi romps, Rosario takes the prize. For its "camera angles" the show could just as easily have been called Vampire Pantsu.

angelflame134 angelflame134 says...

These animes are incredibly funny. The girls are cute. They are both perverse. The girls come from different worlds as well. They both have a fantasy side to them.

Rin and Tsukune are the center of these great harems.

Both Rosario to Vampire and Shuffle! have a male protagonist who is liked/loved by several girls, each with their own personality and problems. Both Tsukune (Rosario) and Rin (Shuffle!) want to stay friends with the girls and help them with their problems, without offending any of the other girls around them.

Both Rosario and Shuffle have their fair share of fantasy, magic and comedy.

You like pantsu? You like ecchi? Then yes this is one to watch. The shows do not hide that they are nothing more than pure fanservice, loads of humour and outrageous situations for our lead male/female characters. You'll get the same story, with a different spin in each series.

Shalron Shalron says...

Rosario+Vampire and Kanokon are good animes to watch if you like the comedic/romance animes that dont have a lot of filler. They both deal with the supernatural crossing over to the real world and trying to keep that a secret -although they do that part in opposite ways-. The two animes are great because they are only a few episodes long and so if you are a type that gets far too attatched to animes, it wraps up the story well before something major happens to a character you are attached to, or the end doesnt go in your favour.

But all in all they are great and I'd recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone who hasnt seen them yet. (^w^)

Both Kanokon and Rosario To Vampire feature human schoolboys with various busty/loli supernatural beings fawning over them. Essentially both of these shows are supernatural harems, so if you enjoyed the ecchi humour of one, then you may enjoy the other.

Both are essentially supernatural harems.  While Kanokon deals more with deities and Rosario to Vampire deals with a much broader variety of supernatural beings both tend to focus almost completely on comedy and ecchi which makes both somewhat amusing to watch.  So if you liked one then you may want to check out the other.

Rosario vampire and Daimaou both start with a young man starting a new school, but then the unexpected happens! In Daimaou he is told that he will become the Demon lord, While in Rosario to Vampire he discovers that the school is actually for monsters! As both series progress you get plenty of ecchi and comedy, and the relationships develop. I recommend both series due to their similarities in those regions.

CrazyAce01 CrazyAce01 says...

First, both are harem animes that deal with a protagonist thrust into numerous strange situations and relationships; a lot of these are quite funny. At the same time, the shows have a very dramatic, serious side in traditional shonen fashion. Alongside this is a suprisingly deep exploration of each individual character, as well as a bit of ecchi. Strong fantasy themes run through both; you'll find plenty of monsters and magic in both worlds.

espie666 espie666 says...

These two anime are fairly similar considering both are harems in which a seemingly typical teenage boy gets a group of beautiful women swooning over him. In my opinion if you liked Rosario + Vampire you will probably enjoy Mabuharo. Just like in Rosario + Vampire the male character is lusted after by all the main females in the show and, of course, there is one (usually the lead female) that thinks of the main male character as "theirs". So, just like in Rosario + Vampire, the lead female is real quick to get po'd at anyone that comes near her man in Mabuharo. If you liked Rosario to Vampire, Love Hina might be worth taking a closer look. It is less serious than Rosario to Vampire, more focusing on the humorous side. Similar to Love Hina the main character finds himself more or less forcibly ending up in a place he doesn't suit in, which leaves space for a lot of trouble. Unlike the surreal atmosphere of Rosario to Vampire the real world is the stage of Love Hina, where the main character ends up to be in an all girls dorm. Take a look and you might not be able to stop.

Both series deal with a below average leads who inexplica bly find themselves put into situations where they have to pretend to be someone they aren't. Love Hina keeps it light whereas Rosario is a little darker and more action themed.

This little synopsis fits both series perfectly, and is almost all there is to them. If you liked the harem, ecchi, comedy and romance in one series, you'll definitely enjoy the other. The only main difference between these series, is that the female lead in Love Hina is a tsundere, while the Rosario to Vampire female lead isn't.

More than less the same concept. I think Welcome to Demon doesn't have nudity, while the other does.

I only hope Iruma doesn't screw up the adaptation to anime as badly as Rosario did.  Yes, both are about monster schools in a different plain of existence hidden from humans of our world with a new 'human' student who ends up gaining accolades and attention despite being only weak humans.  Both characters not only run into trouble but do so early on and establishing a footing at their schools because of it.

Literally the same anime but Rosario + vampire have a lot of fan service! The story is the same the protagonist goes to the under world and they go to a demon school

(Sorry for my bad English)

The plot is so dang simular but different at the same time. Rosario is a harem type and Demon school is more of a funny friend based anime. Also Rosario the MC came across the school and in Demon school the MC was sold off. Anyway if you liked ethier of these animes you should check out the other one!

Both R+V and Iruma-kun are centered on a human in a monster school.

The biggest difference i'd say would be how R+V is basically an ecchi version of Iruma-kun and that Iruma-kun has more comedy.

Both anime follow a human having to attend a school for demons and monsters against his consent. Both protagonists are told that if the other students were to find out that there is a human within the class, he would be killed. Thus he must blend in as best he can in order to survive. Rosario Vampire shows the way a harem progatonist would make it through school, while Iruma-kun is less focused on romance and more on comedy.
